Next Xbox One Update brings ability to buy Xbox 360 games, 16-person party chat
Might as well go back to back on current generation console updates. Back to backkk.
‘Resident Evil’ 4, 5, and 6 coming to PS4 and Xbox One
Oh hey! I guess I don’t give one sliver of a fuck about this! Namely because I know I’d never get around to playing these re-issues. But if I have to have a #HotTake, I’d say it’s fucking ludicrous that the universally reviled Resident Evil 6 is dropping first.
Uh: Microsoft sold just *99* Xbox Ones in Japan last week
We’ve always known that Microsoft *cannot* fucking move Xboxes in Japan. But have we really appreciated how fucking dire the situation is, really? I mean, I certainly didn’t.
Microsoft: Xbox One will not be our last console. Me: No duh
The demise of the console has been greatly exaggerated. Many thought Gen8 would be the generation that finally saw consoles give way to mobile gaming. And while that MGL (mobile gaming life, obviously) is popular, it hasn’t completely eroded us core dorkwads. So it doesn’t come as much surprise to me that Phil Spencer is already saying that there will be an Xbox Two to follow the Xbox One.
Watch: Stream Xbox One games to Microsoft’s own HoloLens glasses
The future of augmented reality! Is! Surfing the slick Internet as a Console Cowboy! Or! No! It’s playing Halo 5 on the toilet as you rip a gnarly Doritos-and-Dew dump, courtesy of the HoloLens glasses adoring your cool, cool face.
Xbox One getting backwards compatibility for 104 games this week
XB1 is getting that backwards compatibility game on this week, with an initial list of 104 games being supported. I know the aforementioned list is much maligned for the titles it contains, but just the promise of b/c in general has me stoked. Plus! I mean. It features Mass Effect, and apparently it runs better on the XB1.
New Xbox One Dashboard and Backwards Compatibility dropping November 12
It really chaps my ass that PS4 ain’t getting backwards compatibility. It really chaps my ass that Xbox One is getting backwards compatibility. This despite the fact that I friggin’ own an XB1. And come November 12, I’ll be able to rock a new dashboard and Xbox 360 games on my aforementioned MicroConsole.
Xbox One’s Backwards Compatibility will support 360’s DLC, too.
Good news, XBOTS. Not only are you (we?, I mean, I own the system) getting backwards compatibility on the XB1. But it turns out that all the DLC you bought for those games you’re going to rocking backwards-ly is also going to function. Fuck. C’mon, Sony.
So Dope: All Future Xbox 360 Games with Gold will be Xbox One backwards compatible
Got an XB1 but don’t got an Xbox 360? Wish you could play the Games with Gold drops every month for the 360? Wish no longer. Man. I really want Sony to get into the backwards compatible game. I mean, I own an XB1. So I guess I should be happy that one of the consoles I own is going to offer such a gnarly deal. But as a zealot Sony fanboy, this burns.
