Loki’s in ‘Thor: Ragnarok’, confirmed by Tom Hiddleston set photo
I sure hope Marvel wasn’t trying to keep Loki’s presence in Thor: Ragnarok a secret. I’m imagining they aren’t, since, you know, Hiddleston just up and shared an image of himself dressed as the character on the set of the third film.
Confirmed: Sam Mendes is done directing James Bond movies
Sam Mendes directed the last two James Bond movies. And whatever the problems with the plot one may have (even I fucking hated Spectre), they were unflinchingly gorgeous. So it’s with a heavy heart that I announce he’s leaving the franchise. Along with, it seems, Daniel Craig. But bring on Tom Hiddleston! But bring on another talented director, please!

‘High-Rise’ Trailer: A Logic More Powerful Than Reason
This one came out of the fucking woods for me. I caught director Ben Wheatley’s Kill List a couple of years ago with Bateman, and found it enjoyably, enjoyably haunting. So apply his talent to adapting yet another J.G. Ballard book I haven’t read (dystopian no less!), starring Loki, and you got a movie I’m anticipating.
Next Marvel One-Shot Short Flick is “ALL HAIL THE KING.”
The next Marvel one-shot that’s arriving in tow with the Thor: The Dark World release is going to be titled “All Hail The King.” Anyone who has seen said movie has a pretty good goddamn idea who is going to be the star of the one-shot. Unless Marvel is trolling our asses, having quietly obtained the rights to Army of Darkness. Which would be the gnarliest thing ever. Ash for the Avengers Movement, please.

Listen, I like Loki. He gets Thor all brooding and shit, really darkening the Lightning Lord’s mood and making his beard really pop. Get his Mjölnir throbbing and such. So I dig the character. But I don’t know how I’d feel about a solo film starring him. 12,000 other people? They don’t share my uncertainty.
