John Boyega lands ‘Pacific Rim 2’ lead role
I was going to see Pacific Rim 2, cause I moderately enjoyed the original. But casting Moses-Finn-John-Boyega in the lead role definitely has me more excited.
Watch: Daisy Ridley’s audition for ‘The Force Awakens’
Yeah, everyone has seen this. But here it is anyways! I didn’t care about it until I actually watched it. Pretty rad. Reminded me of how much I enjoyed Ridley’s performance as Rey Skywalker (I’m kidding). 10/10, do anticipate Episode VIII.
Weekend Open Bar: I’ve Seen Things You People Would Probably Believe
This is, as always, Weekend Open Bar. The objective is, as always, to create a holistic HorrorDump at the Internet where like-minded folk can gather. Once gathered we will, as always, shoot the shit about what we’re doing this weekend. You know, flap our flabby lips. Pointedly pontificate about nothing–something. Everything and anything goes, as always, so long as its in a positive spirit.
Look: Niima Outpost from ‘The Force Awakens’ recreated with LEGO
Rey’s time at Niima Outpost is one of my favorite segments of The Force Awakens. There’s so much glorious goddamn activity taking place, with monsters built with practical effects stomping around. Looking odd. Looking real. It’s great. I imagine it’s a hit with other people, especially since one LEGOWizard was inspired enough to recreate it in LEGO.
Monday Morning Commute: It’s Only For Forever!
Hello SlimeLords, you slithering salacious rot-souls. Clamber into my compartment aboard the Space-Ship Omega and lend me your ocular-meat. I’m going to describe to you the various things I’m looking forward to this week. What is on my mind. What is on your mind! I have telepathy! And caffeine! And telepathy! And a hearty desire to regal your loved ones with falsified tales from your unfortified mouths! Telepathy!
‘Star Wars: Episode VIII’ pushed back to December 15, 2017
Those of us like me who have been counting down to Episode VIII are going to need to add a couple hundred days to the counter. The sequel to The Force Awakens has been pushed back from May to December of 2017. Me? I’m fine with this for a couple of reasons. First off: give the people involved the most time possible to put out the highest quality product. Second off: having Star Wars hitting around Christmas time every year makes an already special season glow just a bit more. So hey. I’m not particularly devastated. It will make its arrival just that much sweeter.
Watch/Listen: Kylo Ren covers Rey’s theme from ‘The Force Awakens’ on the violin
I’m all about this.
