Netflix announces more ‘Sandman’ castings including Kirby Howell-Baptiste as Death and Patton Oswalt!
I had completely forgotten about Netflix’s Sandman adaptation. But that don’t stop the fucking production wheels from spinning, and spinning they are. Today, the Streaming Monolith has announced another slew of castings for the show.
Neil Gaiman’s ‘Sandman’ getting TV adaptation at Netflix. Don’t get too horny, David Goyer is involved
David Goyer is, you know, a kiss of fucking death to me. But, hey! This news is cool if you can look past him.
Neil Gaiman and DC Comics announce ‘Sandman Universe’ imprint
Sandman is coming back late this year in a big way. Neil Gaiman and DC Comics have announced that there’s going to be a whole Sandman Universe imprint.
GORDON-LEVITT producing ‘SANDMAN’ MOVIE. May STAR & DIRECT.
It’s JGL’s world, we are just living in it. Which given his track record is completely okay by me. Also, scribble me down as excited about the Sandman movie now that I know JGL’s probably going to end up starring in it, as well as directing it, producing it, and all that other happy horse shit. My excitement is in exact inverse proportion to how much Snyder and Goyer are involved with this bad boy. So yeah, I’m throbbing more by the minute.
OH GOD: DAVID GOYER pitching a ‘SANDMAN’ MOVIE with JGL INVOLVED.
If you’ve read anything of mine regarding David Goyer, you know that I consider the dude to be a bit of a crap-covered dildo. I don’t have anything against the lad personally (he is probably a terrific human being), but his scripts and movies have the subtlety of a dynamite stuck in someone’s bung hole.
JIM LEE draws ‘SANDMAN’ at SDCC. HIDES PICTURE FOR SOMEONE TO FIND.
Every once in a while I’m reminded of what a beast Jim Lee is in the artist game. I’ve vomited around here about how I’m tired with his super-cluttered panels, and excessive posing. I still feel that way. But at the same time, images like this prove that the guy still has a filthy change-up when he wants to throw it.
NEIL GAIMAN and DAVE MCKEAN returning to ‘SANDMAN’ in October. Gnarly.
Friggin’ righteous. Come this October, Neil Gaiman, Dave McKean, and J.H. Williams III are handling the Sandman. The series will be a prequel to the One You’ve Probably Read, detailing the events that let up to the initial series. Oh, you could figure that out? ‘Cause that’s generally how prequels work? Fair enough, fair enough.

NEIL GAIMAN Penning ‘SANDMAN’ Prequel In 2013. What Say You?
Listen, this ain’t Before Watchmen. This is a creator diving back into a world he created. At least that’s the delineation I see.
