Sony on Cross-Console Play: Happy to have the Convo
Sony has responded to Microsoft’s invitation for “cross-console” play with what amounts (in my eyes) to a “hey yeah maybe”, which is enough for me to keep the hope.
Woah: Microsoft allowing Xbox gamers to play against PS4 and PC owners
Woah. This is something that I have all spitballed about for some time now. The ability to play with fellow gamers across console lines. Granted, this development will only work if Sony “participates” in the initiative, but fuck. Ball is in your court, PlayStation Overlords. Let’s get this done.
‘Uncharted 4’ delayed *another two weeks*, dropping May 10
Naughty Dog says the FUCKING LATEST delay for Uncharted 4 is due to physical manufacturing demands. But man, with all the murmurings about the title’s production problems, staff departures, that sort of shit? And all the delays? I’m worried.
Maybe: Sony teasing return of ‘Crash Bandicoot’
Man — Crash Bandicoot. A bygone character from an olden age. An age that I personally wouldn’t mind returning to, at all. C’mon, Sony. C’mon, potential developer attached. Bring back some Bandicoot-based platforming gloriousness.
PlayStation 2 games have launched on PlayStation 4; but you have to futzing pay for them
C’mon, Sony. C’mon! Microsoft is dropping backwards compatibility on the XB1, and you have responded with this half-assed nonsense. Whereas Microsoft is allowing you to play (granted, last generation’s) old XBOX games on your new rig, you’re charging us to play PS2 games on the PS4 that we already own. If there are technical reasons (asides from, “hey, we spiffed them up!”), I understand it. But if it’s just raw capitalism (and listen, I get it), you’re beginning to stink like the arrogance MicroKing of last generation who squeezed every last 360-Dollar out of my bank account.
PlayStation 4 Remote Play coming to PC and Mac
Sony is bringing its PS4 Remote Play to PC and Mac. This is on the heels of Microsoft bringing XB1 streaming to Windows 10. Well played, Sony. Now can I get my PS3 backwards compatibility?
PlayStation 4 sales have surpassed 30 millionworldwide
PlayStation 4! Selling like hot cakes! Around the world. Sort of crazy that the console is apparently showing the fastest growth in the line’s history.
Xbox One getting backwards compatibility for 104 games this week
XB1 is getting that backwards compatibility game on this week, with an initial list of 104 games being supported. I know the aforementioned list is much maligned for the titles it contains, but just the promise of b/c in general has me stoked. Plus! I mean. It features Mass Effect, and apparently it runs better on the XB1.
‘Street Fighter ‘V dropping on PS4 on February 16th
Ready to play some Street Fighter V? Well, the wait is almost over. The fifth installment of the classic fighting game series is dropping early next year.
