Let’s Commemorate: ‘Super Mario Bros.’ was released thirty years ago today in Japan
Sweet soggy nipples, I’m aging. Like, I knew that Super Mario Bros. was released a while ago. But thirty years-old? That’s…that’s pretty fucking tremendous. Even more terrifying is the fact that my wife wasn’t even alive when it arrived (she’s four.5 years younger than my ass). Which means — like so many goddamn people were born into world and will live their lives having no goddamn clue about the Touchstone Megaton that was the game’s release.
Let’s celebrate the game with some futzing videos. Feel free to share your own memories, videos, thoughts, whatever.
Nintendo is cutting price of its 2DS to $99
I don’t have a 2DS. Or a 3DS. Or truthfully, enough time to add another console and its library to my existence. But shoot if Nintendo ain’t daring me to break common sense with their after their price cutting of the 2DS.
‘The Legend of Zelda’ for Wii U isn’t listed in Nintendo’s 2016 Release Calendar
Son of a bitch. Like, the game that I’m sweating for the Wii U isn’t going to hit the system. Is it? It isn’t. I can sense it. Nintendo’s already run public post-mortems on the console and shit. And now Legend of LinkLinkZeldaTime Wii U ain’t on the calendar for next year. Which means, as far as my detective skills tell me, that the title is actually going to drop for the Nintendo NX or whatever.
Nintendo shutting down Wii U TVii next month. What’s a Wii U TVii?
Perhaps my incredulous response to this report explains everything. ‘Cause despite having a Wii U, its Wii U TVii service is a mystery to me. A mystery that shall be disappearing next month.
Report: Nintendo NX console release planned for July 2016
Well. I guess I’m feeling like a serious dummy for throwing down bucks on the Wii U last holiday season.
Rumor: Nintendo’s next system will be powered by Android
I…I don’t even have the heart to contemplate having to buy another fucking Nintendo system so soon. Android? Not Android? How do you feel?
Nintendo is coming to Universal Theme Parks
Well, Universal was already my favorite theme park, courtesy of its Marvel alliance. And now it is like, totally, indubitably, my number one stunner.
