‘GOOSEBUMPS’ MOVIE PLOT is like WAY META
Got some of that Writing Writer, Meta-Woah-Woah swagger up in the plot for the Goosebumps movie. As a kid who grew up reading them monthly diamonds, and debating the fucking terrors of Monster Blood, I was probably already going to see this movie. Now I’m totally going to see this movie while chemically altered, weeping at the beauty and meta-fictional nature of it all.

Roberto Orci wants to direct ‘STAR TREK 3’, totally splits up with Alex Kurtzman
Roberto Orci and Alex Kurtzman have been dominating the block for a hot while now. Or, depending on your enjoyment of their movies, at the very least been making movies together. But now the dynamic duo is splitting up, with one of them aiming for the Star Trek 3 director’s chair.

Maybe Tarantino ain’t killing The Hateful Eight. Just modifying it. I’m glad, Quentin! I’m glad! It seems you’re doubling back on that moment where you proclaimed “Fuck The Hateful Eight! It leaked! Now I leak!” You proceeded to shit into the middle of the script, smash it together, fecal matter flinging wide and high in the room you were in. And I’m glad you’re doubling back. You can’t erase the fecal blast, but you can at least bring this movie to the world.

Bond 24 continues to coalesce into an actual thing. Hot off the news of a potential villain being cast last week (can it be hot off the press if it happened a week ago?), is the news that Penelope Cruz is joining the flick.

Not content with completely dominating my geek prostate (and truth be told probably my actual prostate) with Winter Soldier, Marvel has issued out into the Ether a new Guardians of the Galaxy clip. Some new footage. Some old footage. Same burning want in me loins.
MAYBE: NATHAN FILLION got himself a ‘GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY’ cameo
Geek-Lord Nathan Fillion. It almost seems ludicrous that he hasn’t found himself a role in the MCU, right? Like — c’mon. Makes almost too much sense. However, the Geek-Lord Supreme may be at least dipping his toes into the Marvel Movie Slipstream with a cameo in Guardians of the Galaxy.
DREW GODDARD is directing ‘SINISTER SIX’ Spider-Man spin-off
That Sinister Six Movie is really coming, eh? Well, if it’s going to happen, it might as well be powered by a talented mind. Sony’s Marketing Machinations have announced that they have successfully ensnared Drew Goddard, and tethered him to the SS directing chair.

That talented son of a bitch Chiwetel Ejiofor may be taking his talents to the World of Bond. Which is fine by me. Fuck, any film that casts the dude is taking a step in the right direction. But having him throw down with Jimmy B is a particular shade of delicious for this spy-loving fanboy over here.
