Revealed: The Identity of the New Female Thor
Like Marvel is always wont to do, they’ve revealed a huge spoiler before the actual issue drops (tomorrow). So! Hark! Spoilers ahead.
New Marvel TV show coming from ’12 Years A Slave’ writer, John Ridley
Marvel is bringing in some serious talent, in the form of John Ridley, to develop a new television series. Amid my own personal concerns about the forthcoming super-dilution and omega-saturation, it’s nice to see that at least Marvel is combatting that somewhat by bringing in talented people. To help them take over the world and burst pop culture after filling it relentlessly with its properties. You know.
That.
Oh: Marvel confirms there is an animated MCU project coming
Today, some Marvel Guru Dude confirmed the inevitable. There is a animated project in the works that is set in the MCU. I mean, if it is done well, I can certainly dig it. How about you?
Marvel ending 33 comics during ‘Secret Wars’ event
Marvel comics. All comics. Are generally like the Universe itself. Death. And Rebirth. A cyclical dance for all of sequential-art eternity. So though apparently Marvel is canceling thirty-three fucking comics during Secret Wars, you’d be daft to think rebirth won’t logically follow. All-Fancy Uncanny Glimmering Thor. X-Forceful Assembling Avengers and so forth.
Marvel introduces ‘A-Force Presents’, a bi-monthly female-led anthology
Dope news for those hankering for some female-led Marvel tales. While the company has been doing good work in expanding their roster of female superheroes, they’re also doubling down and providing easy access for those looking to get into the tales.
Because Synergy: Marvel debuts Faith No More’s new single, ‘Superhero’
I love Marvel. I love Faith No More. I am apathetic about the fact that the former has debuted the latter’s new single.
MOAR! ‘Avengers: Age of Ultron’ Promo Art
..and like pretty much all of the Avenging: Age of Terminator artwork, this new slew of promo artwork centers on a) the team posing like a bunch of dick-faced stooges and b) the Anthony-Stark Fascist-Bot versus Hulk fight. Oh! And a couple cool pieces of The Vision.
Brian Michael Bendis is leaving ‘Uncanny X-Men’, signs new exclusive contract with Marvel
Brian Michael Bendis is leaving Uncanny X-Men and All-New X-Men. Which is no big whoop to me, because I didn’t dig Uncanny and All-New went stale potato chip over the course of twenty issues or so. However, I do give a big whoop about the creator signing a new exclusive contract with Marvel. It’s uh, big news or something?
First Look: ‘Darth Vader’ #1 variants by Alex Ross
The uh. Two Alex Ross variants for Darth Vader #1. One. Is. Uh. A Boba Fett painting? The other is Vader dealing death.
