Justin Lin shares first ‘Star Trek Beyond’ photo, confirms title
Justin Lin is working on the next Star Trek flick, a job I feel he’s much more suited for (I know Star Trek fanboys are vomiting as I type this) than True Detective. The auteur (formally the greatest auteur of our generation before my meds kicked in) has shared the first photo from the current gig.
James Wan officially directing ‘Aquaman’ and ‘Robotech’
I don’t think James Wan is a particularly good director. His aesthetic choices in Furious 7, especially following the master auteur Justin Lin’s vision of the franchise, were certainly off-putting to me. But he’s accessible enough, and capable of helming an enormous flick. Now he’s helming two.
Justin Lin working on Cinemax series based off of project Bruce Lee was writing
Dazzling, unassailable auteur of our time, Justin Lin, is taking his talents to Cinemax. The man behind the greatest franchise of our generation (Fast & Furious, duh) isn’t just working on True Detective. And Star Trek. Naw. Dude is also spearheading a project based off Bruce Lee was working on. Aiight!
Idris Elba in talks to play ‘Star Trek 3’ villain. F**k yeah.
Justin Lin directing. Simon Pegg helping to write. Idris Elba potentially playing the villain. Star Trek 3 is shaping up nicely.
Monday Morning Commute: A Sense of Overriding Futility
It is officially the fucking doldrums, yo. The Prole Bowl has come and gone (The Lords of Kobol are kind to me), and now darkness descends upon my sad, empty life. Oh sure I could stare even further into the Abyss what, with the White Noise of sports-based distraction shuffling back into the Miasma. But who wants that? Not this bro.
Simon Pegg is co-writing ‘Star Trek 3.’ Yes please!
Simon Pegg is dropping his writing chops across the chest of the Enterprise. The actor, who plays Scotty (not like you didn’t fucking know this), is cowriting the third Trek flick.
Justin Lin directing ‘Star Trek 3.’ F**k yeah.
Justin Lin rules. Star Trek 3 needs a talented director with a knack for bringing the energy to an ensemble. The combo fits.
Justin Lin being courted for ‘Fast and Furious’ multi-part finale
Justin Lin is one of my favorite action directors. I’m not even kidding. I’M NOT EVEN TROLLING. So goddamn yes I’m glad he’s returning to the franchise he helped resurrect.
‘True Detective’ News: Vince Vaughn confirmed, Justin Lin directing first 2 eps
Con-con-confirmations down your throat! Out of your nose. Cyclically. Forever. As you nod and accept it. Hot on the heels of Colin Farrell confirming his role in True Detective‘s second season comes news that Vinny Vaughn and Justin “Our Bro Love is Real” have had their participation nailed down.
