‘JUSTICE LEAGUE’ movie dropping in 2015. Character movies spinning out of it.

Warner Bros. is hoping to surf some of the Avengers magic by working it in reverse. Word! Instead of launching a bunch of successful individual movies and tying them into one huge one, they’re going to do the opposite. Release one huge pile of crap, and spin it off into individual little steaming butt sores.

Rumor: Warner Bros. considering Armie Hammer for BATMAN in ‘JUSTICE LEAGUE’ flick. Aiight.

You can almost feel the balls tightening and the labia clenching over at Warner Bros. While Avengers is raking in the glorious money stacks, their only viable comic book franchise just lost its director and lead. Not only that, but the mind behind the Marvel Movie Universe is the dude they nixed from helming a Wonder Woman flick. Alas. So WB is on their grind with the Justice League flick, hoping to ride some of the superteam zeitgeist. As they go to cast the son of a bitch, a familiar name is popping up in consideration for the Bruce Wayne Man.

Superman and Lois may NEVER date now? Oh New 52. You Funny.

Doesn’t matter that it has been nearly a year, the New 52 continues to entertain. You know, with its opaque canon. With its head-scratching decisions. One of those decisions being to send the DCU’s trajectory full Kingdom Come.

Friday Brew Review: VJ Black Imperial Stout

Welcome to the Friday Brew Review!

For the uninitiated, I feel obligated to provide a few words of warning. There exists an entire community full of individuals who’ve spent years fine-tuning their appreciation for beer. The knowledgeable members of this community approach beer-drinking with a cultural respect, honoring the legacy of brewing that’s been weaving itself throughout the entire narrative of human existence. They come together – sometimes at respected websites – to discuss the current state of the beer world. In many ways, these aficionados are like a beer-enthusiast version of the Justice League.

But if that’s the case, then I’m definitely fulfilling the role of Plastic Man.

Whereas my peers use concise language and agreed-upon formats to review beer, I just go for it. In the course of a review, I’ll ramble and use too many pop culture references and showcase my ignorance of the brewing process. But I’ll be damned if my reviews aren’t entertaining (even if only in that, “Honey, slow down so I can see the wreckage before it explodes” sort of way).

Don’t say I didn’t warn ya!

Today, I’m sippin’ on VJ Black Imperial Stout.

The ‘PARKS AND REC’ Cast As DC SUPERHEROES By Vicky Ryan Rules

Vicky Ryan has gone and done up the cast of Parks and Rec as DC superheroes. This move answers the seemingly impossible question, “What could make Ron Swanson bad ass?”, to which I would have previously said nothing.

Post-52 Relaunch: DC’s Coulda/Woulda/Shoulda!

The DC relaunch has left most of us unscathed – the comics are generally pretty good, the continuity is a bit cleaner, and some casual fans have now hopped into the paneled-abyss with the rest of us. Considering the level of trepidation surrounding the reboot, I’d say it’s been a success thus far.

But that doesn’t mean that everything is as rad as it could be.

If you want to see how the Justice League should have been redesigned, hit the jump and check out the fine work of Codyssey.
