If you know me — you know I’m straight-up goddamn obsessed with Winter Soldier. So telling me that the directors behind Probably My Favorite Marvel Movie are going to helm some Agent Carter episodes results in me hyperventilating. But those talented fuckers aren’t the only Marvel directors tackling the wonderful Peggy Carter. Nuh-uh.

Marvel has this thing they do, where if there’s a moderately enjoyable film of theirs, they manage to squeeze the director out of the chair. This is in contrast to paying them what they deserve, or giving them the control they probably earned. Captain America 2  is getting going, and the director who made the flick isn’t even on the potential list of minds to helm the sequel.

It’ll never happen, but it’s worth imagining anyways. While promoting Captain America: The First Avenger, director Joe Johnston mentioned off the cuff that he’d like to make a Boba Fett flick. And then it was like a thousand geeks orgasmed at once.

Man, I can’t help it. The first full-length trailer for Captain America: The First Avenger is pretty fucking awesome. God damn, and I thought my low expectations were going to carry me through this movie with some sort of enjoyment. Now I’m expecting this pig to kick ass, which is, of course, the function of every trailer. To skillfully manipulate footage into giving fanboys boners.

Still though, fuck yeah.
