‘Superman’ movie reboot coming and being written by Ta-Nehisi Coates with J.J. Abrams producing. Fucking hell yes!
Ta-Nehisi Coates is fucking writing a Superman movie reboot. Holy shit. Mamma fucking mia. This news gets my glands engorged. Ta-Nehisi Coates is one of my favorite essayists of the moment, and him on Superman is equal parts wonderful and surprising. Granted, the dude has taken a lap on Black Panther and Captain America for Marvel, so maybe it ain’t that surprising. But still, for him to tackle a Man of Steel movie? Fucking A.

J.J. Abrams producing ‘Justice League Dark’ and ‘Shining’ spin-off series for HBO MAX. He’s a nice vanilla fart of a choice!
Well, we’re finally getting Justice League Dark. Unfortunately, it’s being produced by the creative equivalent of a forgettable neat pop-culture reference. You know, J.J. Abrams! As well, dude is producing a spin-off series based on The Shining. Sure! Whatever!

J.J. Abrams is seeking a Spielberg-esque “megadeal” from studios. Like, the motherfucker is looking for a deal that would “encompass films, television series, digital content, music, games, consumer products, and theme park opportunities” and other shit. That sort of deal. Makes sense. I mean, Abrams is fucking competent, but his career has been spent biting superior creators. So, why wouldn’t he bite the Spielberg power broker move?
Tarantino and Abrams are working on a ‘Star Trek’ movie that Tarantino may direct. Wait, what the fuck?
This…this news is interesting. To say the least. Like, what the fuck is even going on? The last year has proven obvious that the walls of reality are decaying around us, and it’s usually been terrible. But, this is pretty fucking neat.

Wait, what the fuck? Abrams and his Monster Squad have filmed a “sequel” to Cloverfield, and none of us were any the wiser? Oh, J.J. But, hey. I’m excited.
‘Episode VII’ Title Revealed: ‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens’
I wish you could understand how much finding out the official title for Episode VII means to me. I am a Star Wars dick-lord fawning fanboy. Who never thought he’d seen another Star Wars, let alone one which may actually be good. It ain’t even about the title itself. It’s the function the title serves. An obvious reminder that gets my balls a-twitter. This movie is real.

Holy smokes — it’s the final day of 2013.
Reflectin’ on the last twelve months, I have to say that it was a pretty solid year. Am I without financial concerns? Do I wield enough agency to do whatever I please? Have I achieved all my goals? No. No. And no.
But as far as relative simple lives go, mine is a goddamn blessing. I’m surrounded by righteous friends. My zany family has my back. I live with the absolutely babe-tacular Bride of Frankenstein. I’ve got a job I believe in. And I don’t have to travel to a rival village, murder an elder with a rock, and steal the water supply.
Also, they still let me navigate Spaceship OL!
So with my love of life intact, let’s meander through some of my personal favorites from the year TWO-ZERO-ONE-THREE!
New Star Trek Into Darkness Trailer Teases Fans Some More
Just about a week ago, we got the first real look at the new Star Trek joint. As per usual, everyone on these internets went crazy for the fresh glimpse at the JJ Abrams’ film, dissecting and analyzing and investigating and doing any other word that means looking really deeply into everything about it.
