The “Oldest Galaxy Ever” has been found, raises questions about the Universe
I love when people far, far, far more intelligent than me are confounded. Like these astrophysicists who have found the “oldest galaxy ever”, with an age “only” half a billion years younger than the Universe itself. And for reasons over my head, AstroLords say this galaxy shouldn’t exist. But it does! Ha! This isn’t schadenfreude, this glee of mine. Rather, my enjoyment of these folks befuddlement is derived from a desire to see the Universe continue to confound. Defy. Be mysterious.
Classic space image “Pillars of Creation” gets gorgeous new HD photo
NASA has released a new image of the fucking PILLARS OF CREATION. You know the fucking photo. You do. And now you can know it in like, totally tits-berry better quality. Tits-berry.
Watch: Hubble captures STAR EXPLOSION in four-year time-lapse video
Behold the Universe! Regenerating itself! This four-year time lapse video from Hubble shows a pretty killer star explosion. Reminding us that we ain’t show, but that’s okay because we’re part of something rocking.
Behold! This is the deepest into space we’ve looked!
I’m kind of skeptical that this is actually the furthest we’ve seen into space. You know? I ain’t taking anything away from you, Hubble. You’re wonderful. I just suspect that such a news story is laden with unspoken caveats up the ass. But whatever. Let’s just appreciate the beauty together. Hold my hand. Hold it!
ASTRONOMERS find NEW TYPE OF SPACE OBJECT. Progress!
Don’t let them tell you it’s all been done, it’s all been found. You know, them. The Man. ‘Cause we’re finding new sorts of ass-puckering goodies throughout the cosmos all the damn time. The latest find (or rather the latest one I’ve read about) is a new kind of space object.
HUBBLE FINDS BLUE-PLANET that RAINS GLASS. Sounds rough. Count me out.
Here is a hell of a fucking find. The Hubble Telescope has uncovered a nice blue planet! We love Blue Planets, right?! Slow your roll, holmes. What if I told you that this planet also had 4,500 mile-per-hour winds? And rained glass? Yeah, I’m canceling my flight too.
RIDICULOUS: Hubble’s infrared image of the HORSEHEAD NEBULA.
I say goddamn! The Hubble has snapped an image of the rather well-known Horsehead Nebula. However, this picture ain’t like the one you’ve probably seen. This one is even more fucking gorgeous.
Hubble breaks record for FURTHEST SUPERNOVA ever detected.
Hubble has broken its previous record for the furthest supernova explosion ever detected. It’s like, really, really, really far away. Would probably take Superman like three or four days to get there. (And he’s faster than the Flash.)
