FOX has TOTALLY CAST THE ‘FANTASTIC FOUR’ REBOOT. No srsly this time.

Fantastic Four.

If you’re to believe the NETTER-WEBS today, the Fantastic Four reboot is finally cast. Finally! I mean I want to believe the buzz, but haven’t we been doing this dance for so long now?

‘FANTASTIC FOUR’ Movie News: Dr. Doom a woman? Emmy Rossum is Sue Storm?

Fantastic Four.

Here’s a steaming batch of Fantastic Four rumors. Emmy Rossum is in the running for Sue Storm. Excellent.  Not only that, but there is another potential female lead in the mix. That of Dr. Doom. Oh the haters are already palpable, but I’m fine with it. Mix up the stagnant mythos I’ve had jammed down my gullet.

Maybe: JOSH GAD is number one choice for THE THING in ‘FANTASTIC FOUR’ reboot

Josh Gad.

I don’t know Josh Gad. Don’t know him! I’m sure he is a lovely guy. Or an awful guy. He’s probably a guy. Whatever quality of human Gad is, the animated fleshling (aren’t we all?) is apparently the number one choice to play The Thing in the new Fantastic Four flick.

‘FANTASTIC FOUR’ casting potentials include JON SNOW, ROBB STARK

Fantastic Four.

Oh yeah! There’s a Fantastic Four movie happening. We already know that Michael B. Jordan is going to play Johnny Storm, but who is going to flesh out the rest of the cast? Maybe Jon Snow? Maybe Robb Stark? Maybe me? I sent in my audition tape! Peanut butter sandwich belly+my fiance’s yoga pants pulled up over my tits=the definitive Reed Richards.

FOX signs SIMON KINBERG to serve as the Kevin Fiege of their MARVEL MOVIE UNIVERSE

Simon Kinberg.

Television shows have showrunners. Now it seems that the bloated comic book universes that are slowly coming to encompass all of our cinematic pop culture (exaggeration) will all have their own steward. Fiege for Marvel (you could argue Whedon, but Fiege seems eternal), David S. Blowhard for DC, and now Simon Kinberg for Fox’s own Marvel line.

Miles Teller.

Real talk: I don’t know anything about Miles Teller. Do you? Yes? No? Well regardless, if this casting rumors comes to fruition us geeks will be learning a lot about him in the upcoming months.

Jonathan Hickman on making ‘FANTASTIC FOUR’ relevant again. Feels, man.

Johnny Hickman’s run on Fantastic Four is one of my favorite collections of consecutive creator awesomeness ever. So when I stumbled across a quote where he is explaining his aims for the title, I figured I’d save it for posterity. It perfectly captures what I love about the entire run. Oh and yeah, if you have any idea what it is from, let me know.

‘FANTASTIC FOUR’ REBOOT dropping Spring of 2015. That year is choking.

Well tits. I thought that this year was a busy year for superhero movies, and I suppose it was. However, it ain’t going to have anything in comparison to 2015. A year already choking on superhero films is having another one added to the calendar. That’s right! Fantastic Four, come on down. Join the deluge of tights-and-lasers flicks that will be competing against one another in the third year since the Mayan apocalypse.

MARK MILLAR signs on with FOX as ‘X-MEN’ and ‘FANTASTIC FOUR’ consultant. I think this sucks.

Ah, as the tides turn. If this has occurred before Mark Millar spent his writing hours upon a toilet, blowing hate both out of his skull and ass, I would be stoked. Alas, I no longer am. Let’s see how many uncomfortable rape jokes and juvenile ethnic jokes he can slide into these two properties.

Matt Fraction sends ‘FANTASTIC FOUR’ on nameworthy voyage, fills their place with oddity.

How can you replace Jonathan Hickman on Fantastic Four? You can’t, you turkey! Not even Matt Fraction will fill that void for me, and ya’ll know that is saying something. Matt Fraction. Gorgeous head of hair, lovely sets of stories. Not even he can saddle up to Fantastic Four without me screaming “Not my Dad! Dammit!” What I am very excited for is the sister title FF, which seems to be going in a brilliantly Fractionian direction.
