#July2012
Image Announces New Titles From FRACTION, GRAHAM, CASEY, And More. Awesome++
Sweet merciful lord, bare pity on me. I am not worthy of all the hotness that Image comics continues to unfurl. I am not. However, with your blessing I will sweat all over them like the excited fanboy I am. New works from Fraction? Graham? And more?
Ed Brubaker Focusing On His Creator-Owned Books After ‘CAPTAIN AMERICA’ Run Ends.
The exodus continues! Eddie Brubaker is making it known that once his run on Captain America ends he’s going to focus on creator-owned jams. I couldn’t like this more.
Buy These F**king Comics! – June 20, 2012: The Saga Of The Interdimensional Incest Vibe
Wagwan, my friends! What’s good in the world. It’s Wednesday, that pinnacle of the week for the comic book oriented folk. The day when we gather around the comic shelves, or I suppose the digi-shelves, and stoke our nerd inclinations with the newest of funny rags. This is the nearest and dearest column where we wax excited about the titles we’re snagging this week, sharing the particulars and the overrunning joy with one another. It’s a beautiful thing. Hardened nipples. Emptied wallets. Sequential art. What’s not to love?

Buy These F**king Comics! – May 16, 2012: Mainstream Big Two Fanboys Abandon Hope, Aiight?
It’s approaching midnight and I sipping liberally from a recently-cracked open two-liter of Pepsi Max. This can only mean a few things. Diablo 3 has launched, my semester is over, and I may very well be dead by the time you read this. Slouched over all fucking South Korean internet cafe Starcraft stylee. Should I continue sucking wind into the meatier part of this Wednesday, I shall be snagging some comic books. These are the ones I’m digging on. Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to tolerate my stupidity and then augment my list with the titles you’re going to procure for an exorbitant sum. Especially if I don’t list your little binky title. I’m willing to riff on anything should you suggest it.

Comics We’re Buying This Week: Event Books Ass Eating Contest
With a headline like that, I better buckle up. It’s that time of the year where the Funny Book Factories begin churning out stunning efforts in mediocrity, otherwise known as Events. Yes sir. Yes ma’am. This week the all ninety-three Avengers teams are going to be throwing down with all fourteen X-Men squads and the price will be paid by readers looking for something not refried and snot-covered. (I thought this was called Civil War?)
Eh! There’s dope books a’dropping this week too. Let’s focus on that. This is Comics We’re Buying This Week. The simplistically titled column where us worshippers of the paneled page can gather around and share the funny book loot we’re snagging this week. Don’t know what’s coming out? Hit up ComicList.
Funny Books We’re Snagging This Week: Einstein Isn’t Just Gentle, He’ll Kiss You
Hello friends. Gals. Guys. Transpecimens from an alternate dimension reading this in the future as some ethnographic study on our primitive simian brain-stems. This is Funny Books We’re Snagging This Week, the comic book column where we spaz and spout and maybe even rub it a little over the week’s funny book releases. Everyone’s invited! Especially if you find something not covered. Not certain what’s coming out? Hit up ComicList.
Comics We’re Buying This F**king Week: Massive Wood and Brubaker’s College Fund.
Welcome to the newly minted (and perhaps not staying named as such) Comics We’re Buying This F**king Week. Figured I’d cut the bullshit. Herein us guys and gals of the sequential funny book time can share the comic books we’re digging on in a given week. It’s a pretty exciting week, as I’m getting a new dose of Wood to engulf. Always a sucker for the Wood. (And infantile puns. It’s been a long day, forgive me.)

Preview: Brubaker and Guice’s ‘Winter Soldier’ Is Goddamn Gorgeous.
Fuck Steve Rogers, my Captain America is James Barnes. I don’t read Cap, I don’t read Cap and Bucky. But I am sure as Hell going to read the new ongoing starring the Winter Soldier by Ed Brubaker and Butch Guide.

Bucky Lives! Brubaker Brings Back ‘Winter Soldier’. Awesome.
I didn’t care much for Fear Itself, but what depressed me the most was the killing of Bucky at the ends of Red Lady Crotchfire or whatever. Brubaker’s take on the Only Guy Who (Doesn’t) Stay Dead was fantastic, and I felt his death was just Event-fueled crap. Well, Bucky lives. Again.
Ed Brubaker Writing ‘Criminal’ Film Adaptation For Director David Slade. Noir Swoon.
Are you in on the Ed Brubaker and Sean Phillips noir awesome train that is Criminal? If not you need to rectify that. For those of us who dig on the franchise there’s dope news. The glorious comic book noir is getting the big screen treatment, and Eddie Brubaker is helming the project himself.
