Oni announces full-color version of ‘SCOTT PILGRIM’, dare you take the double-dip?
Perchance this is the sort of double-dipping that you may be into. Oni Press has announced that they’re going to release a full-color version of Scott Pilgrim in an “ultra swank” format.

James Stokoe’s ‘GODZILLA: HALF-CENTURY WAR’ Announced By IDW. I Can’t F**king Wait.
Here at OL we’re pretty, pretty, pretty fucking jazzed on James Stokoe. The dude’s comic Orc Stain is unadulterated talent ripping through the veins and capsules of the comic page. The level of energy and detail on every page literally makes my taint sing. I’m serious. My taint opens up, and it sings. This weekend IDW announced that Stokoe would be writing and drawing Godzilla: Half-Century War for them. That taint that sings? It wailed.

We’ve all seen the pictures of that dude bombing about in Batman regalia. I figured he was something of an adorable sociopath, kicking lambs and goats and claiming they were infected by the Joker’s laughing virii. Much to my shock, he’s a pretty rad dude. No kicking.
Image Comics Publisher Eric Stephenson: A Title Selling Out Isn’t A Good Thing
Eric Stephenson is the publisher for Image Comics, who are the hottest mainstream comics company in my eyes. Stephenson spoke out recently about the “success” of titles of theirs such as Saga selling out at comic book stores. He definitely dapped it up with those titles, but also pointed something out: selling out sort of sucks.

Ben Tripp has mastered the internet. You see Tripp has noticed something in regards to Rob Liefeld. Not only is Rob Liefeld the master of pouches, straps, enormous guns, and Zombie Christ, but Tripp noticed he’s also excitable. Like Caff-Pow levels of bananas. He’s gone on to create a website that tracks this excitement by measuring the amount of exclamation points Cable’s Daddy is using on Twitter.
New ‘THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN’ Promo Art Pimps THE LIZARD. Sounds Slimey.
Yeah, The Lizard is the antagonist in the upcoming Amazing Spider-Man, no I don’t really give a shit. There’s new promo art that provided a look at said baddie, and I am equally unimpressed with this reveal.

Grant Morrison is bringing Dinosaurs Vs. Aliens to life. I couldn’t give no fucks about this. Maybe this is growing up. I’m no longer going to swag down the aisle with a comic in tow just because a favorite creator of mine is penning it. Maybe.

I can’t think of anything more antithetical to Watchmen than Jim Lee’s shitty super stylized style. So when he brings his stale ass saltine flow to Before Watchmen: Nite Owl #1‘s variant cover, I puke a little in my mouth.
[Interview] Brandon Graham – Crackin’ Comics
Last fall, Caffeine Powered started telling me about a comics creator by the name of Brandon Graham. He told me that he was hooked to this Graham fellow’s blog, as it featured some absolutely mind-bending artwork. Always the petulant younger brother, I scoffed at Caff-Pow’s suggestion that I visit aforementioned blog, and returned to my regularly scheduled activities (which probably consisted of drinking beers, listening to Mastodon, and playing Mario Kart).
At the time, the name Brandon Graham was whisked away to the mental data file I’ve labeled The Zillions of Things Caffeine Powered’s Tried to Foist Onto Me.
But by mid-January, the file was retrieved and brought to the forefront of my mindscape. After all, this is when Prophet #21 dropped. This comic – a relaunch of an early 90s Rob Liefeld series — massaged naughty regions of my nerd-mind that’d gone chaste for years. The panels before me contained images of kooky monster-beasts and bio-technology and gritty action, presenting them with a multicolored urbanity. After mainlining this single issue, I was addicted to John Prophet’s post-cryostasis adventures.
And when I realized Brandon Graham was the scribe of Prophet? Well, I called up Caffeine Powered and told him, “Goddamn dude, you weren’t joking.”
To atone for my sins, I reached out to Brandon Graham to see if he’d be willing to share some thoughts with Omega-Level. In the following interview, Graham reflects on inspirations old and new, teases prospective releases, and reaffirms the adage that the greatest rogues rock eyepatches.
CYCLOPS And CAPTAIN AMERICA Staredown In Amazingly Awful ‘AVENGERS VS. X-MEN #2’ Teaser.
I haven’t been covering the endless teasers for Avengers Vs. X-Men, but I had to post this one for two seconds. First off, there’s no way that Cyclops could hang with Captain America. Secondly, it features the best/worst tagline ever somehow deemed worthy of being put on a promo.
