JMS Posts ‘Amazing Spider-Man’ Sales Chart After His Exit. Internet Explodes.

I’ve never understood the  J. Michael Straczynski (JMS) rapture. I thought his Amazing Spider-Man stories started off decent enough, spiraled into banality. I thought Rising Stars started off well, spiraled into banality. Then there’s his Superman Walks A Lot story! This weekend JMS ignited a firestorm when he posted a sales graph of Amazing’s sales after he left and then was all like “What, I just thought it was curious.”

Paolo Rivera’s Cover To ‘Daredevil’ #10 Is Devilishly Gorgeous. Puns!

Paolo River has insane chops. His artwork alone carried me through Spider-Man’s One More Laborious Retconning In Time, and it may be enough to entice me into buying Daredevil. He’s revealed his cover for the rebooted series’ tenth issue and it’s gorgeous.

Gorgeous!

Brian Wood On Comics Industry: ‘Everyone Is Bleeding’

I’m a huge, huge fan of Brian Wood and his works. More than that, I value his insight into the comic book industry as a whole. A couple of days ago he dropped some rather despair-slathered comments on the comic book industry, proclaiming that everyone is bleeding. And!, And that he’s already begun envisioning a day when his role in the comics world is reduced. Merry Christmas?

Bendis Ending His ‘Avengers’ Run Next Year, Comparing It To ‘Breaking Bad’. Words. Bold.

When Brian Marvel Bendis began his run on Avengers, he was the Apple of my Comics Eye. These days I’ve cast aside his nineteen Avengers titles, convinced that he’s spread too thin. Too many witty quips to pen. Too many cute repartees. Bendis may be sensing the same thing, and he’s going to wrap-up his eight fucking year  run next year. Jesus I feel old. He’s ending it, and man he’s making claims.

Marvel is set to reveal the fuckin’ Phoenix Force and whatever sort of event in hand for it this upcoming Wednesday during an live event. Ya’ll know how I feel about Phoenix, Jeanie, and gorgeous telekinetic forces of destruction. Here’s hoping it involves her resurrection, and the utter vaporization of Emma Frost. Yeah, I’m still going there.

Gareb Shamus Resigns As President Of Wizard World. Childhood Weeps.

…And so they fall! Gareb Shamus used to be a beast of the comics world, running the ubiquitous Wizard World magazine. God, I loved that son of a bitch back in the day. Now the man is within castle nor throne, nor magazine. He has resigned as president of the entire enterprise.

Preview: Wood Talks About ‘Wolverine and the X-Men: Alpha and Omega”

Brian Wood is returning to Marvel and rocking the fuck out  on Wolverine and the X-Men: Alpha and Omega. Which is close, so very close, to trumping Ultimate Comics Ultimates for the most amazingly cumbersome Marvel title. Ever. More cumbersome than one of my adverb riddled mindlessly spewed neverendingly vapid sentences. (See what I did there?)

Want a preview of this awesomeness? Of course you do.

‘Watchmen 2’ Happening, Andy Kubert Drawing. Dude, C’mon.

After the Watchmen movie, there is very little that can be done to the franchise that can scar me. Yet this news sends an electric shock up my taint. A Watchmen 2? Jesus. Really. Really?
