SAM HUMPHRIES taking over ‘UNCANNY X-FORCE’ with Ron Garney. IMU, Remender.

Goddamn. One of the painful points of Marvel NOW! is seeing all my beloved creators jettisoned from the titles that caused me to swoon for them in the first place. Latest casualty? Ricky Remender’s sweet departure from Uncanny X-Force. Eh, fuck it. At least it’s Sam fucking Humphries!

‘Y: THE LAST MAN’ movie lives! New Line meeting with directors.

While Brian K. Vaughan spends these days dominating on Saga with Fiona Staples, homeboy first got noticed for his series Y: The Last Man. The comic has been in movie development hell for a while now, but things seem to be picking up around the yard. People are quietly murmuring, pulling up their pants. Getting on with their business.

When is ‘PROPHET’ too much ‘PROPHET’? Never.

Man, I got myself that throbbing tip for the Brandon Graham and company Prophet. Despite owning all the single-issues, I went and snagged myself the first collection. $10.00? All in one tidy place? Fuck bills, buy comics. Ripping open that Amazon box, I was all kid like and shit, as if I hadn’t read the series already. Fantastic.

Brian Wood ain’t done with Viking tales even though ‘NORTHLANDERS’ is over. Praise Thor.

Northlanders getting axed was a kick to my he-clit. Not the sort of lovely one that follows me being tied up by my Jennifer Lawrence clone, and prior to the candle wax on my nipples. An unsolicited one. It is good news for me then, that Brian Wood intends on continuing Viking stories after the first Universe ended.

‘BUTCHER BAKER: THE RIGHTEOUS MAKER’ has ended. Dammit. I weep ultraviolent super sexualized tears.

No sooner do I get my rocks off celebrating the release of a new issue of Butcher Baker: Righteous Maker does news arrive that the comic book has been canceled. It wasn’t just canceled all peacefully like, either. Son of a bitch has become the center of an imbroglio between the two creators.

Brian K. Vaughan raps on the potential money in creator-owned comics.

Brian K. Vaughan has recently been getting his proselytizing on. The co-creator of the goddamn glorious Saga has opened up about the potential money to be made in creator-owned comics. Certainly he speaks from a perch of rampant success and fame, but he raises some good points. I’m personally glad the dude  and Staples are crushing it over at Image, and I silently pray Saga gets optioned for a flick just so Staples and him can get the riches they deserve.

Fiona Staples on the madness she has to draw for ‘SAGA #7’; I am excite.

Pretty interesting excerpt dropped today over at Robot 6 from a Vaughn and Staples interview. Has me feeling all sorts of excited for whatever is coming out way in the seventh issue.

Hit the jump to marvel with me.

GRANT MORRISON Leaving ‘ACTION COMICS’, BATMAN INC’, superhero comics in general in 2013.

Grant Morrison seems to be setting himself up for stepping out of the superhero game for a while. The good Scottish Alien Lad has announced that come 2013, he’s finishing up his work on ActionThe Bat-Man Incorporation, and leaving the capes for the time being.
