Rafael Grampa Does Variant Cover For Brian Wood’s ‘The Massive’ TOO MUCH AWESOME
Brian Wood’s next magnum opus is The Massive. Rafael Grampa is a favorite artist of us here at OL. Combining the two of them together in a variant cover for the debut issue is almost too much.

Hitch and Ross Market ‘America’s Got Powers’ As ‘Twice As Much As Marvel For $1 Less’
Bryan Hitch left Marvel after a solid decade, and now he’s taking swings at the old joint. Marketing up his new creator-owned with Jonathan Ross, the two of them are promising it’ll have way more wiz-bang for way less wiz-buck.
Help KICKSTART Documentary About Image Comics.
[Caff Note: Thanks to The Dude for pointing this out to me.]
The folks that brought to life the Grant Morrison documentary Talking With Gods and the upcoming Warren Ellis one, Captured Ghosts are turning to us netizens to help them fund their next flick. It’s none other than a documentary about the founding and evolution of Image comics. A pretty dope idea, considering its their 20th anniversary and they’ve recently revealed a torrent of talent sitting in their stable.
DC Reveals Designs for Batman and Robin of ‘Earth Two’, They Ain’t Ass.
I haven’t dedicated much brain power to thinking about DC’s upcoming Earth Two. The seeming flagship title of the company’s “second wave” of New 52 titles. Just hasn’t really interested me. That is, until I caught this info and peeped the designs. Not IMAGE EXPO level of the excite!, but it could be pretty jazzy.

‘The Avengers’ Gets A New Poster, They Love POSING.
Unbeknownst to DC, a good amount of material for The Avengers is being generated by none other than Jim Lee. Only this secret fact hidden in the darkness of subterfuge can explain the insane amount of posing going on in this poster, the trailer, and the promo pics.

Trailer: ‘Comic-Con Episode IV: A Fan’s Hope’ Gets Me Tingly.
SDCC is the Valhalla that I have yet to arrive at. Every year I want to go, and for a variety of reasons I never do. Money (the most important one), access (it’s getting harder and harder to get tickets), someone to go with (I beg Rendar hard) and so on. Watching this trailer gets that drive going again, but in the end it’ll probably just serve as an awesome double-feature at Rancho Omega-o with Indie Game: The Movie.

Brandon Graham To Write AND Draw Prophet #26. Post-Apoc Bulge.
Prophet #21 was awesome. Prophet #22 comes out today. A bit further down the line, Prophet #26 will not just be written by Brandon Graham. Oh no! Oh no no no. It’s also going to be drawn by the magnificent bastard.

Video: Batman Screams At Strangers In Toronto. Wayne Needs Help.
Some dude dressed as Batman skulked around Toronto busting out requisite Batman-isms like “Where are they?!” both amusing and scaring the shit out of passersby. It’s fucking awesome. Also worth noting: if this site ever becomes a viable life option (it won’t), expect me doing this all the fucking time.

New Pics From ‘The Avengers’ Feature Total Doofus Mode, and CASUAL FLEXING.
Did you know that Thor was the master of the casual flex? You can see all of the hotness in a new picture from The Avengers. What is he doing? Oh nothing. Looking at something on a computer screen. While his fucking triceps go goddamn insane. Also featured: slow rollin’.

…I mean c’mon he’s dressing up as a flying rodent and socking druggies in their gullets. Clearly he’s got other things going on.
