Marvel Announces DIGITAL-ONLY ‘Infinite Comics’ Imprint. Shots Fired!

At SXSW, Marvel unveiled its “ReEvolution”  initiative. Brief aside: who the fuck is naming things at Marvel right now? They all sound like B-SIDES of all the already awful  Final Fantasy descriptors. Anyways. Moving along. The most striking part of this new movement is the announcement of a digital-only  line of comics. Welcome to the future?

Theft of NICHOLAS CAGE’S ‘Action Comics #1’ Being Made Into Movie By Lionsgate. I Vote Yes.

Back in the day, right after the Y2k-virus was done finishing off the remnants of our civilization, Nicolas Cage’s copy of Action Comics #1  was stolen. It went on a journey for a solid eleven years, before being retrieved last year. This tale!, nay!, this saga of awesomeness is going to come to the screen courtesy of Lionsgate. ComiXology Has Had Over 50 Million Downloads; How Many Are Paid Though?

comiXology may very well be the shape of comic book things to come. You know, when the funny book farms have their doors closed and their windows shuttered.  Some interesting stats have been revealed about the service, namely how many downloads there have been and just how big of a month last goddamn December was for them.
