‘Captain America: Civil War’ Trailer: You Really Want To Punch Your Way Out Of This?
Oh man. All the fucking hype. I was literally taking my Goodnight Piss and checking my phone one last time when I came across the news that this trailer had dropped. I faced a crossroads. Stumble to bed, sleep the night and catch it in the morning. Or stumble to computer desk, watch the trailer and be a little more fatigued in the morning. Well. Here I am.

This makes sense. Disney is propelling us into the apocalyptic monoculture, slowly accumulating our entire pop psyche for their benefit (and mine, #stockholder). So why not use the amazing largesse of corporate synergy that The Force Awakens presents as a means to promote another vessel?

Chris Evans says he’ll play Captain America for as long as Marvel wants
Appreciative babe is appreciative. I’m one to often understand an actor’s fatigue at playing a certain role, even if it means I accept their pending departure. However, there are also actors who seem openly derisive of the role that established them, only to look back fondly later on and realize how good they had it. (I’m staring you right in the fucking eyes, Fox Mulder.) So it’s pretty refreshing to see Chris Evans not only aware of how special his role in the MCU is, but also be willing to ride or die as Steve Rogers for as long as Marvel wants him.
