Forest Whitaker joins the cast of Marvel’s Black Panther
At NYCC, Marvel announced that Forest Whitaker is joining the cast of Black Panther. Christ on a Wakandan cracker, this cast is stacked. Through and through and through.
Black Panther’s suit in Captain America: Civil War was Pure CG
Man, Black Panther’s suit in Captain America: Civil War was awesome. Indubitably. But man, you know what? It was even more awesome than I realized. ‘Cause that motherfucker was straight CG. In every goddamn scene. Every goddamn scene! I had no idea, and I imagine not many other people did too.
Watch: Black Panther and Black Widow exchange quips in deleted ‘Civil War’ scene
Captain America: Civil War needed more Black Panther. It needed *way, way more* Black Panther. Okay, maybe I would have just preferred a Black Panther movie.
Feminist writer Roxane Gay writing ‘Black Panther’ spin-off, ‘World of Wakanda’
I don’t really fuck with Ta-Nehisi Coates’ current Black Panther run, but I’m more than excited about the accolades it is receiving. I’m also excited, apparently, for the talent that Coates is recruiting to bring their talents to the world of Black Panther and Marvel.
[Update: No] John Boyega might be joining Marvel’s ‘Black Panther’; Moses! Moses! Finn! Finn!
If John Boyega really joins the already-stacked cast of Black Panther, I’m going to die. My fanboy-balls-brain will explode, covering the screen in joy and meat-matter.
Marvel’s ‘Black Panther’ #1 sells more than 250,000 copies
The first issue from Ta-Nehisi Coates and Brian Stelfreeze’s run on Black Panther sold an incredible 250,000 copies. Hot damn! How is this for a debut issue, sales wise? Tremendous. This also explains why I could not find a copy of the issue anywhere.
Michael B. Jordan joins Marvel’s ‘Black Panther’ movie; this is going to own
Michael B. Jordan has been cast in the Black Panther movie, rejoining director Ryan Coogler for a third flick. Jordan rules, and I’m glad to see him putting his stamp on what appears to be a dope comic book movie. We will all forget about F4 soon enough, fictional son of Creed.
Director Ryan Coogler (‘Creed’) is co-writing Marvel’s ‘Black Panther’ movie
Ryan Coogler is objectively awesome, coming off of Creed and Fruitvale Station. We as an unwashed mass of homogenous MCU fanboy filth don’t deserve him directing a movie, but we’re getting it. And since we’re being spoiled, I suppose we might as well have Coogler co-writing the movie too.
‘Captain America: Civil War’ BTS Photo reveals Panther and Bucky getting close
Official Behind-The-Scenes photo from The Russo BREHS. Totally showing Panther and Bucky getting close, getting to know one another, getting to do this or that or the other thing. Maybe hug. Hug, right?
