Becky Cloonan and Matt Taylor drop gorgeous ‘Sex Criminals’ prints
Sex Criminals has a second trade paperback. It’s got a goddamn television show in the works. Why shouldn’t the comic series also have a couple of gorgeous prints from Becky Cloonan and Matt Taylor? There is no fucking reason! Both of these prints are equally appealing to the eye-socket mush, but Cloonan’s is a sultry slice of NSFW.
BATMAN getting two new titles from BECKY CLOONAN and others
Yeah, I’ll admit it. When I read the headline yesterday that there were new Batman titles coming, I sort of rolled my eyes. Being derisive from the jump doesn’t pay, folks. Because one of these fucking comics is being written by Becky fucking Cloonan, and there is a collection of talent throughout both titles. Consider me persuaded.

Cloonan is collecting the three of her minicomics, Wolves (which I did buy, ha!), The Mire, and Demeter. The sons a bitches will be packaged together, and wrapped in a hardcover. Sold.

Greetings, Earthlings and interdimensional lurkers. It’s Wednesday, and that can only mean one thing. Time for me to lumber down to the LCS, notice that they don’t have the two comic books I want, and flip a shelf. Scream loudly. Dive head first through the glass, trailing blood and tendon dangling from said shards. Scream at drivers as I run wildly through traffic, picking bits and beads of skin and skull out of my Kingdom Come Superman t-shirt. Stumble into a ditch. Write this column telepathically, using the fading moments of my consciousness to commune with you folks.

First Look: Becky Cloonan’s Art In ‘BATMAN #12’. So Good.
Buh! Wha? I didn’t know that Becky Cloonan was rocking out on Batman. Praise be to the Pencil Gods! Here’s a peak at her work on The Bat-Man #12, which is an epilogue to the whole Court of the Owls storyline that Snyder has been riffing on since the title relaunched in the New 52. Can’t fucking wait, man.

Weeks like this are a special treat. Fat off the flesh of animal and the oak sodas after celebrating Memorial Day, nary a moment has passed after returning to reality and it is already Comic Book Day. None the less, it is the finest of interstitial days, an Island of Relief in the middle of the work week. This is the inglorious column where we discuss the funny rags we’re snagging on a given Wednesday. Per usual this is a douche-free zone, and if my poor taste results in me not dropping a title you’re interested in, by all means alley-oop a recommendation.

As I type this, it’s Tuesday evening. I’m on campus in the middle of another seven hour school night. Fuck, man! When you read this, such time will have passed. The groans of labor receded. It will be the most special day of the week. No, no, no. Not colonic and sugar cone Saturday evening. Though that day is a close second. It will be Wednesday, heralding the arrival of new funny books.

Nick Spencer and Becky Cloonan’s ‘Victor Von Doom’ Miniseries Canceled Before Its Published. So Lame.
Nick Spencer and Becky Cloonan were teaming up for what Cloonan was affectionately calling a “Teen Doom” miniseries. I was stoked. Cloonan’s artwork sizzles, and Spencer is quickly climbing the ranks with both his own titles (Infinite Vacation, ILU) and work at Marvel. Now it’s getting canceled. Before it was even released.
