Marvel Ending NINE TITLES In October As MARVEL NOW! Kicks Off. Groan. They’ll Be Back.
Marvel is ending nine goddamn titles this October as their Marvel NOW! initiative gets underway. Goddamn ridiculous. Half of these titles have already been ended in the past year or so. How many #1 issues can Captain America or Invincible Incredible Wonderful Iron Man have?

Oh shit I love me some Lizzy Caplan. She held it down on Party Down, and got all sorts of nude on True Blood. Even made a welcome appearance on New Girl. Now the favorite of mine is crossing a new threshold, into the world of the Marvel.

Ugh. Jesus Christ. Now Marvel is relaunching everything ever, shaking up creators teams and daring to address everything save for good stories. Maybe these new titles will be good, maybe they won’t. However you know what dominates hype? Just fucking quality storytelling. Just focus on it guys. Please. I’m begging you. The wave of hype will dissipate after we go “Wow! Relaunched bullshit that’ll devolve into status quo! This totally isn’t a response to the Blase 52!” and then things will return to functioning as a simmering churn factory for movie scripts.

When Avengers first came out, contributor and relative d-bag Eduardo Pluto left the theater asking me if the film would make a billi. I wasn’t sure, but I threw my chips into the “Yes” ring anyways. My reasoning was that ass-sore Alice in Generic Burton Land had done it, and if it could – goddammit this gem would as well.
I was correct! However, I never imagined it happening this quickly.

It’s Friday. Midday here on the Eastern portion of the United States. Dammit, we’ve earned this! The lovely Samantha Star is all did up in Captain America body paint and all of a sudden the looming weekend seems a bit closer.

With Avengers destroying box office records, it’s only natural that Batman tries to swagger up to their rodeo. However as this video indicates, the good man isn’t cut out for the team. A bit rough around the edges, you see. Plus he swears a lot and slaps around Robin. Not sure which of those truly disqualified him, or if it was a cumulative effort.

Edgar Wright has been quietly rubbing the prospect of doing an Ant-Man flick all over our sensitive parts for years. Regimes have risen and fallen all while no resolution to this potential has came. Yesterday the Good Wright tweeted a picture, and it has people a-buzzing that finally we may been approaching Ant-Valhalla.
