First Look: Michael Fassbender in ‘Assassin’s Creed’ movie
Mikael AssBender is going to be in the official adaptation of the UbiSoft game, AssCreed: Annual Annualization Profit. Here’s a first look at him in AssCreed garb.
Alicia Vikander (‘Ex Machina’) in talks for ‘Assassin’s Creed’ movie, new ‘Bourne’ film
Alicia Vikander is fucking awesome. V. much yes awesome. And so coming out of Ex Machina‘s cult, if not runaway, success, I wish her all the profitable roles! Get them ducats!
‘Assassin’s Creed Syndicate’ set in Victorian London, dropping October 23
I’m going to mark out and say that Assassin’s Creed Syndicate could be dope. I’m going to say it! I’m intrigued.
New ‘Assassin’s Creed’ being revealed May 12
I guess the new Assassin’s Creed will be revealed next week. Which means, of course, that all of the details will be leaking shortly.
Michael Fassbender still totally pumped for ‘Assassin’s Creed’ movie
Until I read this report, I had completely forgotten that Michael Fassbender was involved with an Assassin’s Creed movie. But indeed, he is! And he seems pretty stoked. Wouldn’t it be lovely if this flick was good? I mean — it seems like such an executable concept. But you know. Hollywood. Video games.

UBISOFT: ‘ASSASSIN’S CREED’ has an END IN MIND, ME: LOL, K.
Yeah, no way. Not buying this blathering from the Ubisoft Henchmen at all. They’re trying to convince me that Assassin’s Creed has an end to it. Mmmhmm. I’m willing to bet that end they envision has a very sinuous, unforgiving tie not to a story that they have in mind, but rather mad dollar bills that they are raking in. I’m sure Call of Duty and Madden have an end, too. So color me convinced that they don’t have some glorious end point in mind, but rather like the LOST writers will cobble something together in a manic, blood-soaked orgy of self-congratulation and panic at the last moment.
Press Start: Gilbert gripes and arcade cabinet wipes
Summer is traditionally not a great time for the gaming industry; it’s quiet, a little too quiet…if you know what I mean. It’s fine, though; I understand; those hard working men and women of the gaming industry spend the majority of their time chained to desks in dank dungeon-like offices, dreaming of the world beyond their cubicle. Perhaps I’ve read JPod too many times, but I feel like those kids deserve a break. That said, writing this column sure isn’t easy when the entire industry decides to take a break from making much of anything happen. Still, we shall prevail. Until winter: courage.
