Neil Gaiman tackling Norse Mythology with new non-fiction novel
New non-fiction novel? Sort of a head-bender. But I suppose Gaiman isn’t exactly alien to the notion of his novels notoriously bending our brains. I mean, right?
Gillian Anderson joins Starz’ ‘American Gods’ adaptation
Man. I wish I could be more excited about this, but I fucking remember nothing about American Gods. Things my rot-skulled brain can remember: I love Gillian Anderson, I loved American Gods. Thus, this is good news. Read the rest of this entry »
Adaptation of Gaiman’s ‘American Gods’ adds Emily Browning
Emily Browning has been added to the cast of Bryan Fuller and Starz’ adaptation of Neil Gaiman’s novel, American Gods.
‘American Gods’ TV adaptation casts Ian McShane as Mr. Wednesday
I really enjoyed American Gods. But for the life of me, I cannot recall the character of Mr. Wednesday. Probably because I’ve only read the novel once, and that was a decade ago. Eons have passed. Brain cells have withered, popping out one by one by one under constant attack from caffeine and ennui. That said, I’m sure this is good news. How? I just am.
Neil Gaiman is writing episodes of the ‘American Gods’ adaptation
Neil Gaiman is writing episodes of the American Gods adaptation for Starz. Which makes a lot of sense to me. I mean, how do you instill faith in an understandably cautious fanbase regarding an adaptation? You bring in the source material’s creator. Well, at least that instills faith in me.
Gaiman’s ‘AMERICAN GODS’ getting TV Series on STARZ
As the American Gods turns! Yeah, lame topic sentence. Lazy, lazy. Just add “Subject X!” to the “as the world turns” cliche and unleash on groaning public souls. Anyways, whatever. There’s a new development in people developing American Gods for the screen BIG or SMALL. This latest possibility involves Starz. Or as I call it, the Station that Ruined Torchwood. I’m optimistic though, cause Bryan Fuller is helming it. And dude is talented.
Neil Gaiman’s ‘AMERICAN GODS’ getting another run at TV adaptation
American Gods. Getting another shot at life as a television series. I’ve been sitting on this one for a few days. Talked to some lovely people on the OL Facebook page about it. Ruminated further.Still don’t know how I feel about this.Ya see, it’s no longer being done over at HBO. Instead it’s being helmed by people responsible for some of CW’s lovely programming. (And not Arrow, okay fans of the show? I know I probably should be watching that.)
Neil Gaiman Is A F**king Scientologist? [Update] Neil To OL: No
[Caff note: This originally started as an “Awesome Comments” post a few days ago, but Neil himself commented to clarify so I’ve since updated it.]
Did you have any idea that Neil Gaiman was a Scientologist? Or might be one? I had no idea either. Then a Truth Bomber by the name of John Constantaine drudged up a post from last June and went to down with his knives of illumination.
Hit the jump for the entire spiel.
Tom Hanks To Produce Six-Season Adaptation of Gaiman’s ‘American Gods.’
The whispered-about, rumored-about HBO adaptation of Neil Gaiman’s American Gods is officially a fucking go. Tom Hanks and his totally mint production team are planning a six-season adaptation.
