PlayStation Store for PS3 and PS Vita No Longer Shutting Down. Bullying Corporations Works!
Sony has reversed course and announced they ain’t closing the PlayStation Store for the PS3 and the PS Vita. This shit comes after a rather impressive firestorm surrounding the news, especially from pissed off retro PlayStation gamers. Me? I feel like I should care more about this, since the development underscores the fact that all of our modern consoles are ticking time bombs. Existing only as long as they can access the internet and shit. But I only got so much fucking emotional bandwidth, so I’ll just punt this down the line for awhile. That said, I’m stoked for all the gamers who were going to be significant bummed by the initial decision. Well done, Masters of the Caterwauls!

Well, this is sort of dope! According to motherfucking rumors, Resident Evil: Village has an unlockable roguelike mode! While so many games tack on battle royales, it’s sort of neat to see this shit going roguelike. Roguelike, you say?! What?! Listen, this definitely sounds like a great throwback to the Mercenaries mode from Resident Evil 4. Which was an all-time fave minigame of mine.

Sony’s got a remake of The Last of Us in the works. Which is unnecessary, but whatever. However, more concerning is what this symbolizes. Specifically, the company is focusing on blockbusters over everything else, and it’s leading to turmoil and turnover. What the fuck, Sony. Get your heads out of your asses. This shit is right on cue, though. Company fucks up every other generation. As a Sony fanboy, this shit kills me to admit.
Rumor: Hideo Kojima in talks with Microsoft to publish his next game. The company is not fucking around!
Buried in the news today regarding whether or not Abandoned is a Hideo Kojima game (it’s not) is a larger nugget to chew on. Apparently, Microsoft is pushing hard to land a deal to publish Kojima’s next game. Man, that would be a huge fucking get for the Xbox Ecosystem!

Could it be? Could we finally be getting Alan Wake 2? I had sort of written off the possibility, but then Remedy bought back the franchise rights from Microsoft. Since then, I’ve been waiting. Rubbing. Breathing heavily. Praying. Insane rituals, for an impractical hope. But it appears my incantations may have worked. Alan Wake 2 is apparently coming and Epic Games is publishing the title.
