This…this trailer really doesn’t do anything for me. It’s tonally all over the place, and it relies way, way too hard on Tony Stark (is this a Spider-Man movie, or a Tony Stark side project?). Just. Yeah. Not feeling the trailer at all. I hope I’m wrong. Seriously though, and just doubling back: go away, Tony Stark. Jesus Christ, we get it, Marvel Studios and Sony are playing nice together. But. Either you’ve cut a trailer that leans too hard on Stark, or you’ve cut a movie that leans too hard on Stark.

Here’s a teaser for the upcoming Spider-Man: Homecoming trailer! Yes, yes, yes, we see a Tony Stark-powered upgrade to the Spidey-Suit: web wings! Fantastic, or something? I’m going to level with you, I think this teaser is sort of ass (not feeling the shift in perspectives, or the GoPro aspects), but I’m stoked for this movie.
‘Transformers: The Last Knight’ Trailer: This Is Still A Franchise
The Transformers movies are objectively awful. They also make a real, real lot of money. So, I shouldn’t be surprised there is a fifth one coming down the road. This trailer looks no better and no worse than any of the other Transformers trailers. Take that as you will.
‘The Mummy’ Trailer: An Impossible Mission By Any Other Name
Man. I like Tom Cruise. I like the Mission: Impossible movies. But if this trailer is any indication I’m pretty bummed that The Mummy has now just become another cookie-cutter Tom Cruise/Mission: Impossible jam.

New Spider-Man: Homecoming footage was screened at Comic Con Experience 2016 in São Paulo, Brazil. And said footage featured Spidey getting yet another upgrade from Tony “Totally Not A Creepy Horatio Alger Character” Stark.
