Fox has released the, uh, release dates for its next slate of Mutant Movies! Most salient to my interests (salient? appropriate here? idfk, idfc?) is Deadpool 2‘s date. June 1st, 2018.

The distributor for James Bond 25 is up in the air, apparently. Currently, as we speak, five studious are engaged in bare-knuckle brawling for the, uh, purchased honor.

Oh man. F451, perhaps one of my top five novels of all time, is getting an HBO movie adaptation. I knew this. However, I also now know that the movie is going to have significant talent in the form of Michael B. Jordan and Michael Shannon.

Finally, finally, finally, the director(s) search for Captain Marvel is over. Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck. And, man, it’s outside the box and I love it thus. I mean, they’re responsible, for among other things, the bleak as fuck Half Nelson. Sign me up, folks.

I imagine, oh do I imagine, that the Ant-Man and Wasp flicks are going to be like the Iron Man movies. In the sense that each new installment will bring spiffy new technology for fans to eat up.
James Gunn confirms he’s writing and directing ‘Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3’
James Gunn will be back to close out the trilogy he started. The director has revealed that he’s officially writing and directing the third installment of Guardians of the Galaxy. And, barring the second volume sucking, this is pretty rad news.
Miles Morales in animated ‘Spider-Man’ movie to be voiced by ‘Dope’ star Shameik Moore
Shameik Moore, star of Dope, is going to be voicing Miles Morales in the animated Spider-Man movie. Great choice, as Moore crushed it in Dope with a youthful, cool (perchance dope?!) performance.
Jude Law cast as Young Dumbledore in ‘Fantastic Beasts’ sequel
I actually enjoyed the Fantastic Beast flick, in all its raging mediocrity. That said, while I’ll probably see it, the sequel holds no juice with me. As well, this casting does very little to change that.
