‘The Dark Tower’ TV Spots: The Gunslinger Is Stronger Than Most
Here’s a couple of TV spots for The Dark Tower. I caught them (or at least one of them) during the NBA finals last night. They seem particularly action-heavy, which makes sense given during which they aired.
‘Logan Lucky’ Trailer: Soderbergh‘s Anti-Glam ‘Ocean’s Eleven’ is wonderfully insane
Another movie I had no fucking clue about, until this trailer dropped. If I’m not up to date on pop culture, I’m just a slob, as opposed to a pop culture slob. Anyways. Neither here, nor there. This movie looks fucking insane, wonderfully so, if the trailer is any indication.
‘Baby Driver’ Trailer: Find Something Funky On There
I’m excited for Baby Driver. How excited are you, CaffPow?! This fucking excited. I’m not watching this goddamn trailer, because I don’t need every action sequence in the film ruined for me. But! If you need persuading still, check this out.
‘New Mutants’ casts ‘Stranger Things’ actor Charlie Heaton as Cannonball
God, these boners are going to be showing up everywhere, huh? *Mumbles to himself, the one curmudgeon who liked Stranger Things but is already sick of these dweebs.*
‘Godzilla vs. Kong’ being directed by Adam Wingard, director of ‘The Guest’ and ‘Blair Witch’
I like Adam Wingard. A lot. So I was let down to see him doing Blair Witch as opposed to his own thing, and I’m doubly sort of like “oh? okay” about him doing Godzilla vs. Kong. But who the fuck knows, here’s hoping it rules.
‘Avengers: Infinity War’ teases Mjolnir with official set photo
If you’re like me, you’ve watched the trailer for Thor: Ragnarok, a lot. A fucking lot. And one the major moments of the trailer is the eradication of Mjolnir by the film’s villain. Well, if this set photo from Avengers: Infinity War means anything, the hammer shall be returning. (Fucking obviously.)
‘Wind River’ Trailer: The writer behind ‘Sicario’ makes his directorial debut
Man. Taylor Sheridan is a beast! The trailer for the directorial debut from the writer of Sicario and Hell of High Water has dropped, and it’s every bit as promising as the aforementioned last two movies were fantastic. I’m ready.
‘Justice League Dark’ is reportedly eyeing ‘It’ director Andres Muschietti
The next director to enter the Justice League Dark carousel is reportedly going to be Andres Muschietti. The filmmaker most recently helmed the Stephen King adaptation It, which drops on September 8. I got no fucking opinion either way, as I ain’t familiar with the dude. Still, though, if he enters, good fucking luck.
Joss Whedon had been working on ‘Justice League’ for a good while before Snyder departed
It turns out that Whedon had been working on Justice League for a good damn while before Zack Snyder departed the flick. So. Remember all those rumors about extensive reshoot rumors for Justice League. Well, if I had to speculate, and that’s all the pop culture is good for anymore, click bait, speculation, and butt gifs, I would guess Whedon was the man helming those. Adding levity and some smirks to the Distinguish Competition’s Cinematic Universe. But, again, it’s just speculation
‘Spider-Man’ spin-off Black Cat and Sable movie has a director and terrible title
Who, who gives a fuck about Sony’s Marvel Spider-Man universe? Not this guy. Well, maybe the Venom movie will be decent. But, a Sable and Black Cat movie? Ehhh. None the less, the movie is coming, and it’s got(maybe) an official title and a director.
