I’m torn between being really happy that Wonder Woman is making all sorts of fucking money, and wanting to point that the movie is fun and enjoyable, but absolutely falls apart at the end. I, I guess I just successfully expressed both sentiments.

I’m pretty fucking torqued for It. Rendar’s surprised by my excitement, as I’ve sort of carved a niche for myself by kiddingly trolling Stephen King for years. But, I don’t know. Nostalgia plus a burgeoning love for horror has me excited. Apparently, apparently I’m not alone in my excitement. The movie is tracking very well, with a sequel almost all but guaranteed. A sequel which director Andy Muschietti intends on making prior to helming Robotech.

WB wants Leonardo DiCaprio for that Joker spin-off movie they’re planning. The studio is planning to use DiCaprio’s friendship with BFF Martin Scorsese (who is producing the film) to land the White Whale. Is it gonna happen? Who the fuck knows. Would it be sort of dope? Sure. Am I as fatigued with superhero news as I am addicted to it? Especially DCU news? You fucking bet your ass.

So, sweet fucking Christ. In the past day, the Slop Culture EchoChamber learned about a standalone Joker movie, starring someone other than Jared Leto, which will take place outside the DCEU. Then, we learned that the Ben Affleck-powered The Batman will also take place outside the DCEU. Now finally, we have learned that there’s a Joker and Harley Quinn movie in development, which does star Jared Leto, and will take place in the DCEU.

Ben Affleck’s The Batman is not going to be a part of the DC Extended Universe. A standalone, if you will. I’m fine with it, but I guess I don’t really fully understand what it means. Will there simply be no mention of the Snyder flicks? Will its narrative go so far as to deny or contradict developments in the DCEU? Who the fuck knows.

That said? All-in-all as they say, perhaps without hyphens? I think this is a good development. Allows Reeves and Affleck the ability to disregard whatever bullshit they want, and let’s be frank. Almost all of the fucking DCEU to this point has been that: bullshit.
