The Last Jedi: I was wrong
I went to the theater to watch TLJ the day after it came out. I couldn’t wait to see what Rian did with the film. In my mind, I was really hoping for something big. Something new. Let’s make a statement after the relatively safe TFA.
And it was something big. And new. And different. And after my initial gushing, the film soured in my mind. I felt the initial glow begin to dim, similar to what happened to me with TFA.
Maybe I read too much online?
Maybe I let others teeth gnashing get to me?
Maybe I’m really jaded and just wanted the same old shit?

Well, if Jonny Kasdan proved anything with Solo, it’s that he gets how to write a lovable rake.. So, I’m fucking all-in on him writing Indiana Jones 5.

At this point, I’m just eager for any sort of fucking confirmation from Warner Bros. What a fucking stunning company, who can’t seem to launch competent movies for *either* of their two biggest fucking superheroes.
‘Spider-Man: Far From Home’ is the official title of the ‘Spidey’ sequel
Last year, Spider-Man: Homecoming kicked off a trilogy of Marvel Studios movies that reinvigorated my love for the universe. Next year, the sequel to said movie is going to kick off the post-Avengers 4 MCU. And, we now know the fucking title! I can’t wait.
Sony planning ‘Silk’ as another ‘Spider-Man’ spin-off movie. Like, bros, launch one successfully first!
I’m down for a Silk movie, if it’s done competently. But, let’s be honest. There’s no real reason to fucking think Sony can launch a successful Spider-Man spin-off movie until proven otherwise.

Hiro Murai is objectively fucking awesome. Between Atlanta, This Is America, and his work on Barry, he’s more than wormed his way into my heart. But, he’s about to push deeper into it. Dude is doing a fucking sci-fi- movie.
‘Bad Times At The El Royale’ Trailer: Beautiful People (including shirtless Thor) doing Horrible Things
You had me at shirtless Thor dancing, but the rest of the trailer for Bad Times At The El Royale also looks fucking awesome. Drew Goddard, god bless the dude, bringing his Cabin In The Woods chops to this movie as writer and director.
‘Halloween’ Trailer: Michael Myers is back and Laurie is ready
Halloween is one of my Carpenter blindspots. Now, now, I know what you few OLers are thinking: another fucking classic movie Caff hasn’t seen! But, that’s not the case. I have seen it, just not in a hot minute. So, I don’t really know how much justice this reboot trailer does the original. That said, I fucking enjoy it. So there’s that?
