Phil Lord and Christopher Miller working on ‘Flash’ movie
The fucking geniuses behind LEGO Movie and a litany of other projects are taking their talents to Flashville. And god dammit, I could not be happier with the news. The John Wick dudes, the Lord and Miller combo. Warner Bros. and DC are stocking up on talent.
No More Whedon: ‘Avengers Infinity War Part 1 and 2′ being penned by ‘Captain America’ writers
Strap-in, Whedonites. Say your prayers. Rub your rosaries. For after Age of Ultron we are entering a Post-Whedon MCU. I love Whedon, but I imagine I’m going to take this news more in stride than many. I enjoyed Captain America, and I fucking love Winter Soldier. So I can live happily with this.
Oh: Marvel confirms there is an animated MCU project coming
Today, some Marvel Guru Dude confirmed the inevitable. There is a animated project in the works that is set in the MCU. I mean, if it is done well, I can certainly dig it. How about you?
Maybe: ‘John Wick’ directors helming DC superhero movie
The John Wick directors are in a tight bind. They’ve already directed probably the fucking coolest superhero ever (hyperbole) in the form of Johnny himself. Do they try to top that with a sequel as reported? Or do they lend their fighting prowress to an established Superhero Stable? Seems the latter. At least maybe for now or something IDFK.
Key and Peele’s ‘Substitute Teacher’ sketch becoming movie courtesy of Paramount
Catching up on the news I didn’t get around to talking about this week: Paramount is bringing the Key and Peele sketch ‘Substitute Teacher’ to the big screen. And while I’m stoked that K&P are getting their due, I’m not sure about the viability of a movie based off of Mr. Garvey.
