Sam Smith singing the ‘Spectre’ Theme Song, “Writings on the Wall”
I’m pretty sure everyone pegged Sam Smith as the voice behind the next Bond flick. So uh, today they’re all right.
Obvious Rumor: More Batman, Less Superman wanted in ‘Batman v Superman’ by Warner Bros.
Sad but true: no one gives a comparative fuck about Superman. Everyone goes goddamn crazy for the Lunatic Fascist Bat-Guy. Everyone. Myself not included. And so it makes sense that Warner Bros. wants more of the Ben Affleck-helmed Bat in Dawn of Justice. Some think this is a victory for Affleck, but I don’t. Goddamn corpse of George Carlin could be playing Batman in that movie, and everyone would want more.
Danny Boyle’s next movie is the ‘Trainspotting’ sequel
These days, Danny Boyle is putting the finishing touches on the upcoming Steve Jobbers flick. This means that the good sir is soon going to turn his All-Seeing-Camera-Eye (just own this shitty sentence, Caff, own it) on his next project. Which turns out! to be the talked about Trainspotting sequel.
Six New ‘Batman v Superman’ Images: Wayne Is Too Old For This Crap, GlareGlare Time, and More!
Not to be forgotten amid the deluge of Star Wars madness today, WB has dropped six new Dawn of Justice images.
Chris Evans says he’ll play Captain America for as long as Marvel wants
Appreciative babe is appreciative. I’m one to often understand an actor’s fatigue at playing a certain role, even if it means I accept their pending departure. However, there are also actors who seem openly derisive of the role that established them, only to look back fondly later on and realize how good they had it. (I’m staring you right in the fucking eyes, Fox Mulder.) So it’s pretty refreshing to see Chris Evans not only aware of how special his role in the MCU is, but also be willing to ride or die as Steve Rogers for as long as Marvel wants him.
‘Beasts Of No Nation’ Trailer: A Son Always Protects A Father
Goddamn if I didn’t miss Cary Joji Fukunaga’s presence in the second season of True Detective. Goddamn if this movie doesn’t seem to justify that absence. I cannot wait.
‘Mega Man’ is getting a movie adaptation
Fox wants to bring Mega Man to the big screen. Which seems interesting to me, because the franchise has been all but dead recently. There isn’t much downside to this news for me. Either the movie is great, and perhaps it draws Capcom and the franchise’s gaming existence out of its malaise. Or the movie bombs, which most expect, and nothing really changes on the gaming front. How do you feel about this?
Mark Ruffalo: The Hulk ain’t in ‘Captain America: Civil War.’ So there is that.
Don’t get your purple pseudo-undies in a bunch, Hulk fans. You may be clamoring for some more Hulk in Cap Americavengers 2.5. But it just ain’t happening. You, me, all of us are going to chill out and be patient in our desire to know where Banner went at the end of Age of Ultron.
