Matthew McConaughey turned down ‘Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2’ villain role
Well, shit. Matthew McConaughey turned down the “villain” role for Guardians for the Galaxy 2. Which, whatever that means, has me thinking he turned down the role of Star-Lord’s dad. I get it. He’s got shitty Lincoln car commercials to star in while “maintaining” his “integrity” or whatever #baselessbitterness.
Report: ‘Captain America: Civil War’ trailer debuting with ‘The Force Awakens’
This makes sense. Disney is propelling us into the apocalyptic monoculture, slowly accumulating our entire pop psyche for their benefit (and mine, #stockholder). So why not use the amazing largesse of corporate synergy that The Force Awakens presents as a means to promote another vessel?
‘Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2’ has cast Pom Klementieff in key role
I don’t know who Pom Klementieff is, but I’m down with any Guardians of the Galaxy-2-Volume-Time news.
First Photo: Fassbender on ‘Assassin’s Creed’ Set
Here is AssBender on the set of AssCreed. I think it’s an official photo or some shit. I think I’m actually stoked for this movie? A little?
Jared Leto’s The Joker revealed on ‘Empire Magazine’ cover as sweatpants-boner Hot Topic nerd
That’s all I really have to say about this picture. Feel free to add your own thoughts, though.
‘John Wick 2’ casts Common as film’s villain
Common? The villain for John Wick 2? I’ll take it. Used to be down with the artist, but somewhere between that X-Men movie and doing advertisements for car companies, the dude’s shine was lost on me. So cross Wick, Common! Drown his kitten or whatever the conceit will be for the second film. I’m going to enjoy this.
‘The Revenant’ Poster: DiCaprio slept in a carcass (to get an Oscar, obvi)
The Revenant is probably my most anticipated movie of Q4, outside of that one Forceful release. And man, do the tales surrounding the movie continue to be outstanding.
Peyton Reed returning to direct ‘Ant-Man’ sequel, ‘Ant-Man And The Wasp’
When Edgar Wright left Ant-Man, I spent a good amount of time bemoaning his departure, and what it meant for the film. Additionally, I railed muchly against Marvel Studios’ replacement, Peyton Reed. Well! I ended up quite enjoying the movie. So I welcome Reed returning for the sequel. You?
