Report: ‘Thor: Ragnarok’ adding Cate Blanchett as new female lead
On occasion I refer to my belief that the SuperheroLeviathanBastardBeast will be endlessly consuming the entire list of A-List actors, vomiting them out one by one into movie after movie. With Cate Blanchett being added to Thor: Ragnarok, I continue to feel confident in my prediction. But, fuck. I dig this as a fanboy.
Disney and Spielberg’s ‘The BFG’ Trailer: Wait this isn’t Quake?
I know it is an easy joke, made by many. But I really don’t know The BFG outside of lighting dickheads up in Quake III Arena. I imagine it is a very lovely book, and this may very well be a very lovely movie.
Rumor: ‘Batman’ solo movie to co-star Will Smith’s Deadshot
Will Smith’s Deadshot is premiering next year in DC’s Suicide Squad, and it is looking like we may know where he will turn up next. In…Ben Affleck’s Batman flick? Admittedly, I don’t know Deadshot’s story very well. So maybe this makes sense in the grand scheme of the Bat-Mythos. But to an uneducated slob like me, it seems like “Let’s shove Character X into Character’s Y movie, because: star power!” Which, in the name of fairness, I will admit seems to be happening in the third Thor movie too.

I’m not actually watching this trailer. ‘Cause, you know. Week out. But apparently it’s got a funk-load of Millennium Falcon, and Han Solo.
Rebecca Ferguson returning for ‘Mission: Impossible 6’, futz yeah!
Rebecca Ferguson was one of the best parts of the fifth Mission: Impossible flick, so I’m glad to see her returning for the sixth. Pretty excited about the movie in general. Director/Writer returning, female lead returning, theta levels off the fucking chart. Hell yeah.
