Views From The Space-Ship: As Above, So Below
Hey fuckaroonis! What’s your world looking like these days? Your virtual halls? Your physical ceilings? This is Desktop Thursdays! Show me, show me, show me! My world? As evidenced by the relative silence here at OL-Proper this week — fucking busy! But I’ve snapped some glimpses into the hectic happenings.
I hope you’ll share your own.
Weekend Open Bar: A Fury’d Mess
Weekend’s half over, and I’m just opening the bar. C’est la vie of a loser blogger with a moderately busy life and a poor sense of discipline. Crazy week. First week of the semester. No gentle ascent into the warm, welcoming arms of academic banality. No ma’am. No sir. Instead. Picture it. A rocket-ship. My ass gently dolloped onto the top of said rocket-ship. Instead. Picture it. Said rocket-ship rocketing into the atmosphere, my poor, sad flaccid dong-dong burning up. My hair a fury’d mess. My nipples chaffing under the duress of embracing former-Earth, my throat. Oh, my throat! A bloodied, shredded mess as I howl at the enormity of the next fifteen weeks, laugh at my general enjoyment of this madness, scream at my own anxiety and depressing encircling my brain-piece with their gnarled claws.
I’m here, though. At the Weekend Open Bar. I’m here though, hoping you’ll join me at said bar. Come hang out. Come tell me what you’re up to throughout this half-over Weekend. What are you eating-playing-reading-drinking-worshipping?
Views From The Space-Ship: A Dog’s Tale
Yeah, I know I’m posting this on a Saturday. I wanted to say, initially when brainstorming this formless goblet of digi-diarrhea that I was lazy this week. Truth is, I’ve been considerably busy, between work, social commitments, and surfing the infinite miscellany of bullshit that is our culture. But I’m here! It’s Desktop Thursdays. A look into my world, both digital and physical.
Namely? Just my dog, and my wife being harassed by me.
Feel free to share your own looks in the comments section.
Monday Morning Commute: crap i forgot my keys
School kicks off tomorrow. My anxiety kicked off today. Worrying about my clothes being ironed. Worrying about tomorrow actually being the day school starts. Anxiety is a hell of a drug. Caffeine is a hell of a drug. Caffeine is a hell of a drug for Anxiety. The two of them hanging out in the dank halls of my bathroom-brain, jacking off one another. Caffeine telling Anxiety to make me sweat, make me fart, hand on Anxiety’s slick shaft. Anxiety telling Caffeine to tell me to just have a couple more cans of Pepsi Max, make me jitter, make me palpitate, hand on Caffeine’s slick shaft.
Weekend Open Bar: Cheer and Bloating In Oblivion
Weekend Open Bar! And a content one at that.
My wife is home, tucked into bed. Home for the first time in more or less two weeks. Laffy Taff is in my gut, tucked into my digestive tract via my head-hole. In my gut for the first time in more or less too long. Outside, the crickets are chirping. A cool breeze passes by. Inside, the Red Sox are playing. A cool breeze passes by.
The Summer is winding down here in the Eastern arm of the Empire, and it was a damn good one for me. A mellow, unremarkable jaunt filled with teaching, quality time with my wife, some passable cinema, and a lot of really good wrestling.
I will not lament it leaving, though. For as I shed the husk of my most enjoyable Summer in years, it is being ushered out the door in lieu of the Most Wonderful time of the Year.
Fall!
Views From The Space-Ship: Legoland was an Inside Job
Bringing back Desktop Thursdays! An invitation to peer into the virtual and physical world of mine, while ostensibly sharing views from your own world(s) in the comments section. I used to sporadically share “Views from the Space-Ship” but, fuck, it made me lazy and I didn’t enter installments as regularly as I would like. So! A return!
Monday Morning Commute: We are all Placeholders
in space | inkaxis
We are all placeholders, man. Temporary installments in a Temporary Universe. Brief iterations, brief organizations of atoms-molecules-matter, and we will all be gone before we know it. That’s fine, that’s cool, that’s whatever. It’s gotta be because it is. No complaints here.
While we’re here, while the Aflame Blue Globe is here, while the Universe is still hurtling towards Heat Death, why don’t we hang out, folks?
Hang out, here, in Monday Morning Commute. The weekly column where all of us Placeholders get together and share what we’re excited for during a given week.
What comic book is coming out that you’re sweating? What movie is dropping that you’re anticipating? What fetish website is getting your hard earned bucks and/or meagerly administered strokes? Sharing is caring, so show that you shant neglect me in the comments section.
Weekend Open Bar: Transcend Meat-Space
I’m tired, man. Straight fatigued. The sort of stretched-out, mentally wiped LackOf that hits on occasion. My wife has been away, the dog has been barking incessantly every morning, the glory of InfiniteMasturbation and PizzaTime that shepherded me through the early week has lost its sheen. My work has been unrelenting, and it doesn’t appear there’s a vacation on the horizon until December. Eh, fuck it. Eh, fuck it!
This is Weekend Open Bar. The yaddaYaddayadda where we YapYapYap. Please, come YapYapYap with me. Tell me what you’re EatingDrinkingWatchingReadingMashingittoo this weekend.
Monday Morning Commute: As lonely as you let it be
SK3RTT | slimesunday
One of the things that has struck me, on this, my wife’s fourth day away on her current business trip, is how much time I used to spend alone. Reflecting back, graduate school was just hours upon hours of me by myself, stuck in a study. Staring at a computer screen. Reading works. Contemplating bullshit academic sophistry. And, of course, writing for Omega Level.
On this, my wife’s fourth day away on her current business trip, I think I understand why I wrote so much and so openly about my cock, balls, fluids, and all sorts of weird fetishes (I still do have, but no longer flaunt so openly).
Being alone does things to you, man.
Each of these days I’ve found myself soaked in a Diet Dew haze, my hands covered in failed-children and coconut Vaseline, a stupor of unwanted freedom for a countenance. The more I seem to caffeinate, the more trips to PornHub I make, the more concerned my dog looks as I stumble around the house with my underwear around my ankles and the paper towels eluding me, the more I understand my former-self.
My former-self is really just my current-self, but far more lonely, and with far too much time on his hands.
On this, my wife’s fourth day away on her current business trip, I think I should point out to you that she’s going to be gone for another ten out of fourteen days or so.
Buckle up, good friends, OverCaffeinatedCaffeinePowered is upon you.
This is Monday Morning Commute. This is the weekly column where I list what I’m up to during a given week. I hope you’ll share what you’re doing in the comments section below. I hope you’ll keep me company. For me. For my concerned dog. For my chaffed cock and balls and crusty t-shirts and my shattered sanity and my Diet Dew-fort and my anxiety.
Wracked in the Wasteland Part 4: The Island
I had to take a break. So many deaths. It was becoming work to keep progressing in Survival. I’ve come to accept now that occasionally I will be behind the power curve and the enemies will stomp me into oblivion until I catch up. I know this now.
After I took a week off, I wanted to dive right in (pun intended) to the Far Harbor content. I died a few times making my way up to the North East corner of the Commonwealth, but that’s to be expected at this point.
Once I finished the introductory quest and boarded the boat to Far Harbor, I was blown away. You’d think after almost 200+ hours play on a game, there is no DLC that could impress you or hook you the way the game did when it was brand new. I was totally wrong. The aesthetic. The vibe. The fog. Far Harbor sucked me right in.
I don’t want to totally spoil it in this entry, but Far Harbor is about a conflict between the Children of Atom and the humans of Far Harbor. The synths of Acadia seem to be in the middle, at least when you first get to the island. There are a lot of twists and turns to the plot of the DLC and I really enjoyed it. This entry covers the first half of my adventures on this foggy island.
