Warren Ellis is helping DC revive the Wildstorm imprint, which they never should have fucking canned. IMO, IMO. I’m stoked! Goddamn stoked. Yeah, this is weak copy. I’m tired. But excited. Excitired.

I don’t really buy that Alan Moore is retiring from comics, but if he is? The Grand Shaman-Wizard of the Sequential Art World has earned his vacation. Say what you will about the dude – brilliant, blow hard, reject the binary and dub him brilliant blow hard — motherfucker is seminal. Man. I’m all about this. Rob Liefeld relaunched Prophet years back under the tutelage of Brandon Graham, and it became one of my favorite comic runs. Ever. So if history serves as guide (and, to be fair, often times it doesn’t), this could be fantastic.

Christ, I may have to dip back into a Marvel monthly comic (outside of Moon Knight). Not only is Star-Lord getting a title in the upcoming Marvel NOW! relaunch, but the title is being written by Chip Zdarsky. Not only is the title being written by Chip Zdarsky, the artwork and Star-Lord redesign is being handled by the filthy talented Kris Anka.

I don’t really fuck with Ta-Nehisi Coates’ current Black Panther run, but I’m more than excited about the accolades it is receiving. I’m also excited, apparently, for the talent that Coates is recruiting to bring their talents to the world of Black Panther and Marvel.
