ELLIS and SHALVEY leaving ‘MOON KNIGHT.’ Aw, man.
I spent a good amount of time (okay not forever, but for a guy with ADD it felt like typing it took eons) in this week’s comics column talking about how I was going to check out Moon Knight. ‘Cause Ellis/Shalvey. And now it turns out the duo that had me torqued on the title are leaving. However! It is none other than Brian Wood and Greg Smallwood taking over the reins to the Moon Steed. So, I’m conflicted.

Batman co-creator BILL FINGER finally gets a cover credit on ‘DETECTIVE COMICS’ #27
It only took DC seventy-five years to unfuck a case of the Fuckeries that had laid at the feet of Batman’s co-creator, Bill Finger. As part of the Corporate Juggernaut’s celebration of Batman’s 75th anniversary, they’re giving out a free copy of Detective Comics #27. On fucking Batman Day! I’m serious. Anyways, adorning said free comic is Bill Finger’s beautiful name, finally giving the influential mind appropriate props.
‘ROCKET RACCOON #1’ poised to sell 300,000 copies. Furry Space Boner.
Skottie Young’s Rocket Raccoon #1 is poised to hit the shelves with the subtlety of a bazooka-toting raccoon! Get it? Rocket Raccoon loves his weapons, and he doesn’t seem very subtle? Eh whatever. The Young-powered title is looking like it’s going to drop on the market to the tune of 300,000 copies. I think it’s safe to say that the “risky” Guardians of the Galaxy movie is going to have a built-in star when it arrives.

Rumor: Marvel putting the ‘FANTASTIC FOUR’ “ON HOLD” because the comic would HELP FOX PROMOTE MOVIE
OOPH! And we all thought that the Marvel/Edgar Wright split seemed unseemly. A more sordid rumor making its rounds is that Marvel is going to put Fantastic Four on hiatus because the comic will help promote Fox’s movie. Man. I mean. That’s seventy-shades of fucked up, to me. Pushing (at least) the pause button on Marvel’s First Family? As a strong arm tactic against the studio that owns the movie rights?? So fucking dumb.
Alan Moore reveals OPEN-SOURCE DIGITAL COMICS APP, ‘ELECTRICOMICS’
The Grand Warlock of the comics scene has announced an open-source digital comics app, appropriately (?) titled “Electricomics.” Which I probably spelled wrong. WHATEVER, YO. Anyways. The entire enterprise is still a bit murky. It’s a digital creation tool, for anyone? But it’s also an anthology starring Moore and others? Or both?

MILES MORALES joining ‘ALL-NEW X-MEN’ First, how? Second, awesome.
Miles Morales – my one and true Spider-Man – is somehow joining the All-New X-Men. Which answers the question, “What could finally get Caff-Pow to read All-New X-Men?” In truth, our own Johnny Hotsauce has finally shoved me onto the precipice of reading it anyways. But now, I’m diving off the ledge! I’m not particularly certain of the mechanics that’ll bring Morales to the proper Marvel Universe. I also don’t particularly care.
