CM Punk seems like a solid dude. Hard worker, great on the mic, huge comic book fan. And he ain’t wrestled since like, the middle of the year? Retired. Or something. It makes sense that the guy has got to do something. So why not make it funny book pennin’?
Marvel ‘Secret Wars’ Comic Trailer: Throwdown On Battleworld
Apparently (and probably, obviously) Marvel’s new Secret Wars comic event next year is going to similar to the original. Basically, different Universes smashing it the fuck out. I’m intrigued. But overwhelmed. I am so fucking behind on the Marvel Universe that I don’t really know what the fuck is going on. I read my Hawkguy and my Ms. Marvel, and then I peace the fuck out. A portion of it has to do with this very issue — the seemingly endless and convoluted Universes that the MU stretches across these days. If Secret Wars is going to (hopefully) clean up some of this continuity, I’m fucking for it. But in all honesty I was all for it when Hickman and Ribic were announced as the creative team.

Finally: Marvel titles now give Jack Kirby creator credit
It’s about goddamn time. Jack Kirby is finally getting creator credit inside Marvel titles. This is following last month’s nebulous, somewhat undefined announcement that Kirby’s family has settled with Marvel.
Hickman says Dustin Weaver has completed his ‘S.H.I.E.L.D’ art
Man, I feel old as fuck. I know that I’ve been waiting for the Hickman/Weaver collaboration, S.H.I.E.L.D., to finish up for a while now. But I had no idea that it had been four fucking years since the series started. A series which while seemingly dismissed should not be forgotten. The son of a bitch was a glorious, frothy philosophical circle-jerk that still managed to squeeze in a goddamn shit-ton of glorious action and artwork.
‘Ms. Marvel’ scribe G. Willow Wilson taking her talents to ‘X-Men’
Ms. Marvel‘s writer is taking her talents to the X-Men Universe. Which, if her four-part X-Men run is anything like her depiction of Wolverine in Ms. Marvel, means that it is going to be fucking incredible. I WILL USE COMMA SPLICES.
Marvel teasing new ‘Civil War’ comic event. All refried everything.
The fuck? First Marvel reveals that next year Secret Wars is making a comic book event comeback. And now Marvel is teasing a new Civil War event? All the old events! Redone! Spit-shined! For our enjoyment?! Ehhh. Though I have to say this sort of makes sense in a SUPER FUCKING SYNERGY sense, since the MCU seems to be building to some form of Civil War. But still.

Gamora is the latest character from Guardians of the Galaxy: Death to Grimdark to get her own ongoing comic book series. Dope! Doubly dope? The comic is going to be written by Nicole Perlman, who was the screenwriter for the flick. Details and the full cover for #1 after the jump.
