‘Disintegration’ Trailer: Meet the new FPS from the co-creator of ‘Halo’ which totally doesn’t feel aesthetically like ‘Destiny’
Like, who knows how Disintegration will play. But, based on the trailer? Holy fucking Destiny aesthetic vibes, dudes.
Polygon:
At Gamescom Opening Night Live, we got our first look at Disintegration, the new sci-fi, first-person shooter from V1 Interactive. The independent development studio is co-founded by Marcus Lehto, former creative director at Bungie and co-creator of the Halo universe.
Disintegration focuses on Roamer, a robotic pilot of a Gravcycle, a heavily armed vehicle that hovers over battlefields. Players will pilot the Gravcycle and command a small squad of allies, merging real-time tactical elements with first-person shooting.
Lehto said the game will feature a full single-player story campaign and a “huge” multiplayer component.
Take-Two’s indie-focused label, Private Division, is publishing Disintegration in 2020 for PlayStation 4, Windows PC, and Xbox One. Private Division and V1 Interactive announced their partnership back in December 2017. Private Division will also publish Patrice Désilets and Panache Digital Games’ Ancestors: The Humankind Odyssey and Obsidian Entertainment’s The Outer Worlds.
Lehto co-founded V1 Interactive in 2014 after a 15-year career at Bungie, where he worked as art director on Halo: Combat Evolved, Halo 2, and Halo 3, and creative director on Halo: Reach.
