‘Final Fantasy VII Remake’ Trailer: Allow Me To Reintroduce Myself!
Does this trailer for the Final Fantasy VII Remake look dope? You fucking bet! Am I excited? You fucking bet! Do I think the game will be good? Not yet! Square has been placed solely in the “Prove It To Me” category for now. I haven’t enjoyed a game of theirs since, what, 2006? But, I’m excited. Please, Square. Prove my skepticism unwarranted.

Final Fantasy VII Remake is a big deal. It’s the upgraded, high-fidelity version of a legendary installment in the Final Fantasy franchise, and it’s been blanketed in mystery since its announcement four years ago. Today, Sony revealed a new trailer for the game, complete with a promise from series shepherd Tetsuya Nomura that more information is coming in June.
Nomura has been busy since 2015. He’s the driving force behind the Kingdom Hearts series and until January 25th, he was working on shipping Kingdom Hearts 3 (which also enjoyed a fairly long and secretive development process).
Now, it’s all about FFVII. On Twitter today, Nomura wrote, “Most of the plans are already in place in the run up to launch, so please bear with us a little longer until we can release more information next month.”
