Netflix confirms ‘Castlevania’ Season 2 is dropping this summer
I say, goddamn. The wait for Castlevania‘s second season has been interminable. Not only because the first season was so dope, but also because we were only afforded a paltry fucking first offering. However, at the very least, we now know when the wait will end.
IGN:
The second season of Netflix’s animated Castlevania show will debut sometime this summer, according to series writer Warren Ellis.
“We’re coming back this summer, for eight episodes,” Ellis said in a post on Twitter. Netflix renewed the show for a second season in July of last year, announcing Season 2 will have double the episode count of the show’s four-episode first season.
Castlevania follows the final surviving member of the Belmont clan as he seeks to thwart the efforts of Vlad Dracula Tepe and save Eastern Europe. For our thoughts on the animated series, read IGN’s Castlevania: Season 1 review.
Netflix’s Castlevania series is produced by Adi Shankar, who’s also working on an animated show based on Assassin’s Creed.
