‘In the Valley of the Gods’ Trailer: ‘Firewatch’ devs go to Egypt for their next adventure
Firewatch is an objectively awesome game. Campo Santo is an objectively awesome developer. So, I’m pretty excited for the follow up to the former by the latter. How is that for a fucking convoluted sequence of sentences? Eh!?
The Verge:
Campo Santo, the studio behind hit indie adventure Firewatch, unveiled its next game In the Valley of Gods at The Game Awards with a first look trailer.
There’s not much information about In the Valley of Gods yet — Campo Santo is describing it as a “single-player first-person adventure,” where players will explore an ancient valley in the Egyptian desert to search for treasure and fame. And if its anything like Firewatch, expect it to be a hugely story driven affair, although In the Valley of Gods already advances ahead of the company’s first game by featuring a second character, who seems to be joining the player on their adventure.
One thing is for certain: the game looks incredible, with Campo Santo looking to out do the already impressive visuals from Firewatch in its next tile.
In the Valley of Gods is set to come out in 2019 on Steam (no other platforms have been announced yet) so it’ll still be some time before players will get to explore the desert, but it looks like it’ll be worth the wait.
