‘Assassin’s Creed Origins’ leaks continue, ‘Game Informer’ reveals it’s dropping October
‘The Assassin’s Creed Origins leaks continue. It’s kind of fucking hilarious to stop and contemplate that this game still has not been officially revealed.
Polygon:
Assassin’s Creed Origins will be released Oct. 27, 2017, according to a photograph of an early shipment of the next issue of Game Informer magazine.
The photo, apparently posted by a Redditor to Imgur, shows a titular assassin perched atop the Great Sphinx of Giza, along with the Assassin’s Creed Origins title. “An empire falls, a brotherhood rises,” reads the accompanying caption. You can see the full photo below.
Assassin’s Creed Origins’ existence had already been revealed long ago in numerous leaks, and confirmed by a photo of a retail pre-order card earlier this week.
Previous reports about Origins indicated that it would be set in ancient Egypt and would mark the return of naval combat to the franchise. The feature was last seen in a mainline franchise installment in 2013’s Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag. This year’s Origins is reportedly coming to PlayStation 4, Windows PC and Xbox One. It will be the first Assassin’s Creed title in two years — the series was on hiatus in 2016.
We can expect more on Assassin’s Creed Origins at Ubisoft’s E3 press briefing, which will take place on Monday, June 12, at 4 p.m. EDT. You’ll be able to watch the livestream of the conference here.
