‘Preacher’ Season 2 Trailer: On the road to find God, finally
I gave up on the first season of Preacher, since, compared to the comics (at the very least) it sucked. That said, now that the crew is finally on the road, maybe I’ll enjoy it? Someone let me know. You, you there. Let me know.
io9:
The second season of Preacher is going to be very different from the first season. We got a hint of that when the season one ended—and it’s being confirmed the more we see from season two, up to and including this latest trailer, which is hilarious, action-packed, and crazy.
Preacher’s new season will finally see Jesse, Cassidy, and Tulip hit the road looking for God, which is where the Garth Ennis/Steve Dillon comics start. And much like those comics, this season looks like a way more kinetic experience than the measured first season. Check out the trailer.
The first season of Preacher was good. It wasn’t great, but it had moments of greatness and the cast and character development felt like a super solid start. With season two, it looks like the people behind the show, including Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg, are starting to really open it up and go nuts—which is exactly what the show should be, and what will keep it fresh in a sea of television content.
Preacher season two premieres on AMC Sunday, June 25 at 10PM ET/PT, followed by the second episode on Monday, June 26 at 9PM ET/PT in the show’s regular time slot.
