‘Deadpool’ Director Tim Miller Now Developing ‘Sonic The Hedgehog’ Movie
Ah! Now I understand why Tim Miller left the Deadpool sequel. To develop and produce a Sonic The Hedgehog movie. Wait…what?
After leaving Deadpool 2 earlier this month over “creative differences,” original Deadpool director Tim Miller has moved on to a big-screen Sonic The Hedgehogmovie—meaning he’s going from chimichangas to chili dogs. (For readers who are less nerdy, chimichangas are Deadpool’s favorite food and chili dogs are Sonic’s favorite food.) This comes from The Hollywood Reporter, which says Miller is merely producing and developing the Sonic movie, not directing it. That gig falls on frequent Miller collaborator Jeff Fowler, who will be making his feature directorial debut with Sonic.
The THR story says it ill be a “hybrid CG-animation/live-action family film,” with Golan The Insatiable’s Patrick Casey and Josh Miller writing the script.
