Red Dead Redemption 2 is coming Fall 2017
Red Dead Redemption 2‘s been revealed, folks. By Rockstar. Not only has it been revealed, but it’s been confirmed: we are getting a trailer on Thursday.
After two days of teasing the internet with images, Rockstar has now come right out with it: Red Dead Redemption 2 is a real thing that is happening, and we can expect a trailer for it on Thursday, October 20th, at 11am.
And…that’s it for now. The final image reveal does however give us a better look at the characters, at least—does that look like John Marston to you, or is that just me? It would align with rumors that the next Red Dead is a prequel, at least.
Here’s the official website:
Developed by the creators of Grand Theft Auto V and Red Dead Redemption, Red Dead Redemption 2 is an epic tale of life in America’s unforgiving heartland. The game’s vast and atmospheric world will also provide the foundation for a brand new online multiplayer experience.
And the accompanying press release:With Red Dead Redemption 2, the team is working hard to push forward our vision for interactive entertainment in a truly living world,” said Sam Houser, Founder of Rockstar Games. “We hope to deliver players an epic experience that builds upon everything we’ve learned making games.”
Rockstar also notes that RDR 2 will be coming to Xbox One and PS4. No word yet on a PC version, unfortunately. While it’s always possible that a PC version may happen down the line, the original Red Dead Redemption never released on that platform.
