Mary Elizabeth Winstead joins ‘Fargo’ Season Three; Can We Have It Now?

I don’t care that Fargo season 3 hasn’t filmed yet. Can we have it now? Can some intrepid soul pierce-time space for me, choose the Universe where the season came out most optimally, and send me the show? Fuck, I need this.

UPROXX:

Fargo is becoming one of the go-to television shows for big screen talent, and the third season looks to be no different. Joining the talented ranks of Ewan McGregor (in a dual role as twins) and Carrie Coon, FX announced that 10 Cloverfield Lane‘s Mary Elizabeth Winstead will be featured in a “major” role.According to Entertainment Weekly, Winstead will be playing Nikki Swango, “crafty and alluring recent parolee with a passion for competitive bridge playing. Nikki is a woman with a plan, focused on always being at least one move ahead of her opponents.” Color us intrigued.

Winstead is probably the most recognized as Romona Flowers in Scott Pilgrim vs. the World or this summer’s political satire BrainDead. She wowed critics and fans alike with her visceral performance in 10 Cloverfield Lane, so she should be an excellent addition to the always remarkable Fargo.

Season three of Fargo is expected to take place in 2010, shortly after the events of season one and decades after season two. It will focus on McGregor’s brothers, one a self-made success and the other the black sheep of the family. Coon will play the recently divorced local sheriff. Season two is nominated for 18 Emmys, so expect to see it getting all kinds of buzz during Sunday night’s ceremony. No official release date has been announced, but season three is expected sometime spring 2017.
