‘Spider-Man: Homecoming’ Leaked Set Photos: Check out the Shocker’s Costume
The Shocker’s costume is shocking! Ah, wakka-wakka-wakka. No, seriously though — I have no idea what the fuck this dude is supposed to look like, so I can’t really comment.
These images provide a good look at the Shocker, including the traditional yellow in his costume and his trademark gauntlets. While any “unmasked” images of the character have yet to surface, an earlier rumor pins “Fargo” star Bokeem Woodbine as Herman Schultz/Shocker.
Created by Stan Lee and John Romita Sr., the Shocker made his Marvel Comics debut in “The Amazing Spider-Man” #46 in March 1967. Born in New York City, Schultz’s talents included being an engineer and inventor. After he developed gauntlets that shot high frequency air blasts, the Shocker was born. Over the years, the Shocker has been associated with a number of evil teams, from the Sinister Six to the Thunderbolts and just about every rogues gallery in between.
Woodbine joins the expanding cast of “Spider-Man: Homecoming,” which stars Tom Holland as Spider-Man/Peter Parker and Marisa Tomei playing Aunt May, as well as Robert Downey Jr, Jon Favreau and Michael Keaton.
